Excellent quality! Nice size and easy to carry!
I use this knife most days, it’s very versatile given it has so many functions. The quality is excellent, it’s obvious the materials used are of high quality, it’s quite heavy for its small size. It fits comfortably in my pocket, making it easy to carry around.

A great SAK
A great versatile SAK which benefits from a good saw in addition the usual blades and excellent scissors. Being a 4 layer knife it's slightly bulky compared to the 2 and 3 layer knives but still fits fine in my hip pocket next to my wallet and the size / performance compromise is worth it for me. As with all Victorinox SAK's of this size, legal for UK carry without need for a 'good reason'.

Brilliant as part of a survival kit
From what I see from modern preppers, survivalists or bushcrafters the Swiss army range of knives seem to be criminally overlooked in favor of larger, more intimidating looking knives but you won't get a more useful tool than a good Swiss Army Knife. My Huntsman fits perfectly into the hollow storage section of the Magpul stock I have on my Ruger 10/22 takedown although I did have to cut out a couple of the 'fins' inside to fit it properly. It is held in with Velcro so doesn't rattle about.. I own a few different versions of the Swiss Army Knife including the awesome Swiss Army Champ which has everything you could possibly need (and more) and I consider the Huntsman to have all the essential tools you need in a really compact knife / tool. I've added a mini screwdriver and pin to the knife (see pictures) as they do not come with the knife. Every essential is here including toothpick and tweezers and it's all made from the highest quality materials, fitted together with real precision - this is a tool which will last for many years and well worth the money. Forget about buying a cheap copy as they simply aren't worth it. I went for the silver version since it will be the most reflective if it needs to be located on a night by torch light but other colors are available - quite why they are different prices baffles me as it is simply different color plastic side covers. I'd definitely recommend this knife to anyone who wants all the essential parts of a Swiss Army Knife and doesn't want to splash out on a larger version (e.g. Champ) with the caveat that to complete this knife you'll need to buy the mini screwdriver (fits into the corkscrew) and the pin which fits into the secret hole where the corkscrew meets the main body of the knife. An excellent knife / tool - razor sharp straight out of the box too.

A good, all-round Swiss Army Knife
Last year I previously purchased a Victorinox Huntsman to use for whittling wood and other small woodwork projects. I am very impressed with this penknife, so impressed, in fact, that I got another for my Mum, who is a Forest Skills Teacher. The compact design as well as the well thought out positioning of the tools means that this was the perfect penknife in the price range I was looking at. Pro's + Wide array of tools that are all useful - None of the silly ones that are useless and just make it bulkier and heavier such as a magnifying glass. + Lightweight and compact - Takes up next to no extra room in my rucksack + Very durable - I've had mine for over a year and I can't see any signs of wear and tear. + Well made - None of the tools get jammed or stuck like they do with cheaper alternatives + Blades come very sharp - Blades are super sharp right out of the box Con's - Blades become less sharp quite quickly when working with wood – Regular sharpening may be required - The keyring is too small - You need to use another split ring if you want to attach it to anything - Dirt, dust and little bits get stuck between the tools and can be hard to clean, but this is the same with all penknives I have used this penknife in my survival kit and I have taken it out into the forest to try it out in a real-life survival situation. It performed very well whenever I used it, and my only complaint is that if I hadn’t have had my knife sharpener with me, towards the end of the day it would have started to take a bit longer to cut through things like rope, twine, small sticks and carve bigger bits of wood. However, this is something that will occur on all knives, so I wouldn’t worry about it. For just over £20, with this penknife it is hard to go wrong. I would recommend going with a trusted brand like Victorinox as you can be assured good quality, as I have previously purchased cheap penknives which jam, go blunt and break very easily. In terms of the tools, this penknife comes loaded with all the tools you will need. I found the saw especially useful, as it can cut through thin sticks (up to about an inch thick) very quickly with not too much effort. The fact that there are two different sized blades is very useful when doing woodwork as when the primary blade is too big, there is a smaller alternative. This penknife is the perfect size. The handle is thick enough to get a good grip, whilst not being unnecessarily wide. Just to clear up any confusion, it has on it: A corkscrew, a hook (which is surprisingly useful), a wire stripper, a punch tool, a large 2 ½ inch blade, a small 1 ½ inch blade, a wood saw, scissors, a bottle opener and a can opener. One thing I would have liked to have seen is a Philips screwdriver, but this is not a big problem as there is a 3mm slotted screwdriver on top of the can opener and a 6mm slotted screwdriver on the bottle opener. This knife is perfect for wood workers, but if you don’t need all the features of this Swiss Army Knife, then the Spartan and Climber are also both solid options, but bear in mind neither of these include a saw. If you want more tools, the Mini Champ and the Handyman are also available, but with more tools comes a wider handle, and the Handyman is very fat, meaning it could be too big for smaller projects. In conclusion, I would recommend this Swiss army knife to anyone who would like a reliable, durable, all-round penknife, as this has all the tools you need for general jobs either in the house or at the workbench.

Never leaves my side!
One of the most useful purchases that I've ever made. This is legal to carry in the United Kingdom so therefore I carry this with me everywhere (apart from airports or high security areas) and its been needed so many times. From cutting food or tags to opening bottles etc. Ive used attachment many times apart from the corkscrew though that could have something to do with me not drinking wine. Then again, I've seen the corkscrew being used to loosen difficult knots in so it may come in handy for something like that. I won't list what this pocket knife has seen as its already under the description but i do want to talk about a few of my favourites and why. My favourite attachment and the tool i use countless times a day is the large blade. This blade comes razor sharp out of the box and stays that way. I had this for around 4 months or so now and it still hasn't needed sharpening or shown any signs of dulling. I use it for fruit mainly but also used to sharpen sticks and cut boxes open, really cant say anything bad about the large blade. The small blade is still fantastic in terms of its sharpness and quality, just like its large counterpart however my only problem would be why would you need a small blade when the large one does everything as its a perfect size. Never mind, I'm sure there are times when the small blade would be needed. The scissors i am also very happy with and come into use often for situations like cutting tags off or cutting dangling thread from clothes when you're out. The wood saw is extremely sharp and most struggle to open it but there is a pretty easy way to it by pulling it up from the end with your nail. Anyway, this saw is first class. Been used many times to accompany me chopping some logs and it cuts through even the toughest oak effortlessly. Very pleased with the saw, just always wondered what i would have to do if it ever needed sharpening. Other attachments that are frequently used would be the toothpick as its really handy to have one on me, the phillips screw driver that is on the end of the can opener is worth mentioning as its probably not so obvious where it is. I didnt realise at first as its not its own stand alone attachment but regardless, it works just as well and i often put it ahead of actual screw drivers when it comes to tough screws because i know that it won't bend and grind up like i find many cheaper screw drivers do. Going back to the corkscrew attachment, its not completely true when i said that i haven't used it. Well ok, i haven't exactly but i did find another attachment online that can be purchased separately to this pocket knife and it will fit as an add-on to any swiss army knife corkscrew. This is a mini screw driver attachment which winds up onto the corkscrew. Search for it online and you should find it for £2-3. I found that to be really useful when my glasses broke when i was out and needed them to drive back home so i don't know what i would have done if i didnt have my Huntsman on me. This is the perfect size to fit in anyones hand, slips into a coat pocket or bag nicely and looks (and performs) very sleek. The attachments have all been expertly thought out by Victorinox both in terms of the use of the tool and also which attachment should be included onto the knife. For this, i will happily give it 5* and definitely recommend to purchase. Another faultless Swiss Victorinox item.

Its a good knife
For the price, I really don't have any complaints. The knife (both small and large) is sharp. The saw is actually really effective for small pieces of wood, I've already used it and had no problem. I've also used the tin opener, which works well as long as the tin has a good lip on it. The scissors are excellent and of course, so is the bottle opener. The cork screw seems to go into softwood just fine which makes it ideal for using the unit as a hook (it's original purpose of course, not to take a bottle of wine backpacking!!!). I've not used the other things on it at this time. Couple of things if this is a present: 1 - Be prepared to pay extra for a display case, as it just comes in a light cardboard slip which is pretty rubbish. 2 - The red finish on the knife looks brilliant but scuffs and scratches very very easily, in fact keeping it in my pocket has already taken some of the shine off and I've only had the knife a couple of weeks. BUT for me it's a working tool, so it was always going to get a few bumps and grinds along the way. In conclusion, I like this knife, sharp, functional and not so big you'd think twice about carrying it with you.
