I got this as an anniversary gift (ivory year but as I can't use ivory I went down the elephant route).Slightly 'papery' in texture but nicely made, very rustic (you can see tye straw in it). Loved it. 🐘

The fact that this is Fair Trade and eco friendly really sold it to me, and I love that it's quirky too. I was very happy with the quality of the frame but the reason I've dropped a star is because I expected to receive the design shown - an adult and baby elephant. That's what I wanted, but I received a different design with just the adult (see their other products). I didn't like the design and contacted the seller. They referred me to their info under 'features and details' which says 'due to the handmade nature of these products designs may slightly vary....' I had seen this when I ordered but assumed that 'slightly' meant that the finish of each frame would not be identical. Why would a buyer think that the actual elephant design would be (very) different when only one image is shown? Thankfully the seller accepted my argument and exchanged the frame ........ BUT I notice (many months later!) that they haven't changed the wording of the description.

I’ve bought this photo frame for my daughter who loves elephants. It’s an original gift which is certainly a conversation starter! Made from elephant dung and even has an inscription inside the frame saying - frame is handcrafted and made from ‘Pachyderm Paper’ which is 100% elephant dung paper, and it has been pulped to perfection by ‘Maximus’! This is a brilliant addition to the frame as it tells the story about how it’s been made. I love it so much I’m going to get one for myself. The frame will hold a 6 x 4 inch photo. Sturdy and attractive frame. Will make a great gift for anyone who loves elephants, conservation or just because you want to give an original gift! 100% recommended.

This item is a brilliant idea for a gift. My close friend is an avid believer of caring for the environment, and caring for animals, so when I stumbled across this item I knew she would love it straight away. I'm not entirely certain how they have made it into such a good quality product, but it seems that elephant dung is a very good ingredient for creating strong sturdy shapes! The elephant dung effect is lovely, and has a strong resemblance to the handmade scarp booking paper we usually know as mulberry paper. The price is slightly higher than I would usually pay for stationery accessories, however you have to take into account the manual labour and personal care taken to make this product. I have yet to discover how it would fare in a rainstorm... but we shall leave that to another today :)

Clever elephants. The frame is lovely and knowing the good that the proceeds do, being put back into the sanctuaries to pay for the elephants upkeep. Very clever.

The is a very nice looking frame, cream colour with a nice elephant decoration. I have two issues with it, it doesn’t have a back so you have to manoeuvre your photo in from the front, this involved some bending of the photo which then got a few finger prints on it. Also there is no glass front.

This was more lovely than I anticipated and the ethics behind it were good too.Simple picture frame with the inset of two elephants - very beautifully added at the bottom.Super quality.

Really lovely photo frame for a good cause, unusual gift that the recipient loved, arrived in good time, exactly as described, would definitely buy from this seller again.
