Good alternative to plastic. Holds up as well as plastic.
This cutlery is nicely made & I'm happy I found an alternative to plastic that still does the same job. They are sturdy for disposable items and are comfortable to hold. I found disposable bamboo bowls & dishes to use with them so I'm plastic free..........good feeling.

A truly compostable product
We were having a party with 50+ guests. We were not equipped with plates and silverware to make it a "sustainable" party. People often don't know where to put their "disposable" plates and flatware when they are finished eating. Using truly paper plates (no shiny coating) and these wooden utensils, 100% of the waste (including any food scraps) went straight into our Organics bin. Wood is 100% compostable. Don't be fooled by flatware that claims to be compostable. Commercial composting facilities don't operate at temperatures that allow biodegradable or compostable flatware to be devoured by the microbes that create compost. If it's not wood, it won't compost. I give this product 5 stars, but the knives didn't cut the tri tip as well as I would have liked.

Ease of handling
The items were quite strong, but the spoons were not useable. They were to shallow and not deep enough. The forks and knives were useable..

Nice
At first we thought we were not going to like these just because they are different but we do. Great for camping. They are sturdier than plastic ware and environmentally friendly. We will order again

A bit flimsy
I am working hard to minimize my use of plastics. I found this set of wooden cutlery so-so. The pieces are a bit flimsy. They would hold up to softer foods such as fruit and soft desserts, but not to something like cutting through a piece of meat or some vegetables. I would not purchase again. There are sturdier options.

Yeah... its because its wood...
Got these for my daughters 10th bday party. Trying to do the whole minimum waste plastic ordeal. I'm not exactly a tree-hugger but I sure do hate wasting stuff if I don't have to dang it!My mom complained that it had a bit of a "woody" taste."Yeah, mom, that's because its wood... Remember those old ice cream cups that were handed out to pretty much every kid event in the 90s? I do. You were there. Small rippled cup capped with a cardboard flap and provided a little wooden plank to scoop out the vanilla chipped iced cream..."Could I tell that I was eating from a wooden spoon? Yup. Was it the end of the world, nah. None of the kids complained. Other adults didn't make a fuss. But, if that bothers you in the least, maybe not your product. I found for the price, it was worth it.

I use these for almost everything
Convenient little things - I use them when I make coffee, tea, etc. but also to spread butter, measure out espresso, and a lot of minor things I used to use silverware for. I toss them into the recycling bin afterwards.

Overall quite good
These are nicely made, they do have a bit of a popsicle stick taste but you really don't notice it unless you're licking them. My only complaint is that the spoon isn't very good, it's quite shallow and not very useful for anything except maybe ice cream. The knives do fairly well and are sharper than expected but they fall a bit short trying to cut anything tough like steak.

a Life Saver
We had to live without a kitchen for 2 months during renovations and these eco conscious utensils were a life saver. Worked well and went in our green bin for composting.

Ideal
Considering the spoon and fork go into your mouth, they are smooth for your mouth and lips. Can be disposed of in the recycle green bin or fire pit if camping
