Excellent cheap lights
These are both great, easy to fit yet sturdy and a fair price. More lights should be powered by AA or AAA batteries when you don't need anything powerful. I use these to compliment other more powerful lights but I just have these ones on in the day. They're very lightweight, very simple to operate with one button to cycle through the modes. Well worth the money.Just remember the front light won't light the road up at all, it's not designed to. These are only "to be seen" lights, not "to see". So for night riding it's essential to get something much more powerful to compliment these lights.

Decent set of lights for a casual cyclist
The lights are very small but give a decent level of brightness. They seem to have a long life on a set of batteries and of course should they fail at an inopportune time they are a size where replacements can easily be bought - from the corner shop to the superstore. The lights are secure in their mounts but easy to release when necessary. I feel the rear light gives plenty of light (and can be used on steady or flashing) and the front light is bright enough for urban/suburban use, where street lights supplement the output from the light, but you would need something brighter for regular cycling in rural or dark areas - I would say the main purpose of these light is to let people (including drivers) know you are there rather than to light up your way. They are small, light, have good battery life (and replacement batteries are cheap and easy to get) and bright enough to get you noticed by other road users. If you want something bigger and brighter you have to expect to pay more but for me these are ideal for my needs at an affordable price.

OK for price, but front light lacks waterproofing
Rear light OK, though front light has no water resistant rubber gasket, so wrapped it in cling film. Would like fixings to be designed so the light is not so easy to take off, as batteries can be fitted without removing the light. Not a fan of usb rechargeable lights. Handy to get high capacity 2800mah rechargeable batteries that last long and hide spares on the bike

Very good lights.
Very good lights for bike, at a very good price and good quality.

Be sensible, be safe!!
For the occasional rider, this set is perfect. The headlight won’t light a dark road for you in any way at all - it isn’t designed to do that. But it will alert drivers at dusk or on dull, dark days, wet and wintry days that you are there and that is essentially what you need. You have plenty of flashing options on both front and back lights and the set is easy to fit and setup on your bike. If you’re a serious commuter, or a regular rain rider, then you may need to think more seriously about what kind of heavier weight light set will most likely keep you safe. But for me and my needs - a dry rider who only rides in daylight - this set is ideal, offering very good battery life and giving a clearly visible warning, at a very good price. Excellent!!

Rear Light doesn't work
It was quite difficult to open up both lights to put batteries in. When I did, the rear light does not work. It is a shame, because the front like is very bright and easy to install. I wish the red light worked but I have tried everything and I think the circuit must not be right. But the front light is good and bright.

Good quality safety lights for an urban environment
These are safety lights, so not intended to light up a trail in the woods, but in terms of creating visibility in an urban environment such as London, they are pretty much perfect. The lights are quite bright (for being safety lights) and very clearly visible from some distance. The build quality is excellent and they have a degree of weather sealing to protect the internal components from the elements. Overall, they seem sturdy and come with pretty decent battery life and a few flashing settings to extend battery life further (see below)If you intend on using them often, it may be worth picking up some rechargeable batteries along with a cheap charger. This set (Cateye HL-EL135 - OMNI 5) uses a pair of AA and a pair of AAA.Battery life according to the boxFront: 320h (flashing), 80h (constant)Back: 120h (rapid flashing), 90h (normal flashing), 60h (constant)In summary, perfect for an urban environment. If your use case is non-urban, such as dark country lanes or even offroad, the OMNI 5 back light is still a good choice, but you'll want to upgrade to a more powerful headlight suitable for your environment.

Avoid
Such a bad d3sign. Feels cheap, doesn’t hold to bike well. Definitely worth spending a bit more for a superior product
