Probably 1/8 inch thick or less
Used these as attempted recovery from sesamoiditis. Could not find mention of how thick they are on the page but I'd imagine they're 1/8" thick or less, meaning they're thin. Felt like they'd work for a few moments but eventually would not be helpful, and even felt painful at times. On top of this, they're easy to remove but the adhesion wears off pretty quick. I'm going to just spend the extra money to get Dr Jill's insoles.

Not much on metatarsal relief
This product didn't provide the relief I desired. It's a decent shoe pad and sticks well if you need a little cushion in the bottom of your shoe, but I experience metatarsal pain from bunion surgery - primarily in the first metatarsal (big toe). Unfortunately, this pad provides ZERO support on the first metatarsal. For some unknown reason, the big toe area is intentionally cut out to not support this area. For my particular needs it's a no. If your pain is at the ball of the foot nearest to the joint on the big toe, I would reccommend you look elsewhere.

Surprisingly Cushion-y!
I wanted to try these for pain on the balls of my feet. I was expecting just some extra padding or whatever, but these are actually really effective. They made walking a lot more comfortable. I was really pleased with how these felt, and the resulting reduction in pain from just wearing these for a few days. They aren't too thick, so they shouldn't affect how your socks or shoes fit unless those are already quite snug. The pads are a bit of an odd shape and size, but I think this is by design. I think these try to cover large areas. This could be just to make sure that the whole area is covered, but also to mitigate any sliding around these may do.The adhesive is fine. It's not going to super glue these to your skin, but it's not going to slide off within an hour or two. I found that if I wore one for several hours at a time, I usually had to adjust it back to just the right spot. Not a big deal, but may be an issue if you don't have the luxury of sitting down for a few minutes and taking your shoes and socks off.

Misleading photos
While the photos show these stuck to the bottom of a foot, the instructions say they are recommended for adhesion to footwear. With that being said, these are not sticky enough to stay on the skin. I’ve worn dancers pads for almost 6 years now (different brand) and they’ve always adhered great to my foot. These do not! I would recommend a different product if you’re needing it on your skin and not in footwear.
