A useful and space-saving addition to the kitchen
This is a sturdy, good quality kitchen rack that holds a lot of pots and pans. I used to have a wall-mounted one and needed a new one when we moved. This fits the bill nicely. It was relatively easy to put up (if you are a competent DIYer) as long as you attach to ceiling joists for strength. It is easy to get hold of additional hooks that fit this style of rack so you can pack as much onto it as you want. I also like that it is easily height adjustable so that you can either put things stacked on top as well as hanging from the base, or you can ensure you are able to reach items and avoid knocking your head off the pans!It looks stylish as it is, or you can paint it a different colour if you need to - ideal!I hate having to rake through a drawer lifting pans out to reach the one i want. This rack avoids that problem as long as you have the room to put it, with enough head height.

Well made. Looks good. Reasonably priced.
A well made and presented pot rack. One review criticism often repeated was the use of inverted pot hooks to facilitate the hanging of the pot rack. This ate into the available mounting space, coupled to the difficulty of holding the hook in place, supporting the pot rack and manipulating the chain, all whilst probably standing on a step ladder. The easily engineered solution I suggest is this:- a) Drill a 6.5mm hole in each corner casting. b) Tap the hole to 8mm. c) Fit stainless steel 8mm lifting eyes. This provided a safe, smart and convenient chain mounting. In this instance I drilled the holes "blind", i.e. not all the way through. The lifting eyes were purchased on this occasion from Falcon Workshop Supplies of Wigan. (A2 stainless steel M8 eye bolt DIN580). Any firm of toolmakers or engineers will be able to help if you have limited facilities. The result looks good and allows substantially more room on the rack.Hope this helps!

practical and fashionable
This solidly built rack will take 12 saucepans, provided they have holes or hooks in the handles. We don't have that many pans, so we also use it for colanders, sieves and serving utensils, and you can buy more hooks if needed - there will probably be room on the rack for up to 16 hooks. Remember that it will be heavy when fully loaded, so ensure it is properly fitted. You can alter the position of the hooks, in fact they move rather too easily. Of course it won't store the lids, unless you balance them on top! The chains were too short for our (quite ordinary) Edwardian house, and we had to buy extra chains for the DIY shop. It is quite attractive, and it is obviously intended to be the centrepiece of your kitchen, its neutral pale wood and chrome finish will fit into most décors, but we use it in a corner that would otherwise be wasted space.

What a beauty!! Stylish and functional!
We are absolutely delighted with our new pot rack. It arrived even earlier than estimated. On unpacking it, we could see that a lot of thought had been put into the design and practicality. This is no flimsy bit of kit. It is strong and well made. It was fairly easy to fix it to the ceiling joists and - hey presto - brilliant storage. I am on a mission to de-clutter and this rack has freed up quite a bit of space in my kitchen. I would give it a five star rating.

Easy to install and well made.
A well made, good looking rack and very easy to install. I made a rough template out of the box it came in to work out the size and used fridge magnets to locate where the fixings were in the ceiling so I could screw into the joists. If I can fit it anyone can.

Good Quality. Design Could be Better.
We have had the single line version of this rack for many years but my chef wife decided she needed more capacity. The quality of manufacture is good and the central area provides a good location for oven trays and similar which we could not store on the single line version. The capacity is not as good as we had hoped as the rack is shorter and due to a design difference (see below) less of the wooden track is available for hooks. It is only really practical to store pots on the two longer sides but the shorter sides provide a home for measuring jugs and similar.I have dropped one star as a change in the design from the single rack makes assembly and hanging difficult where it does not need to be. The old rack had large hooks screwed to each end which connected with chains hanging from the ceiling. This rack does not use those hooks but instead uses the same hooks used for hanging pots but with the hook section facing up instead of down. Hope this makes sense. The attached photo shows the problem and also shows how much of the side is unusable for hanging pots. This design is a problem as the hooks are a loose fit between two rails. By having the hooks for pots inserted from the top and the hanging hooks inserted from the bottom, whichever way the unit is held some hooks drop out. So you don't put the pot hooks in until the rack is hung. You still have to try to hold all the hanging hooks in place at the the corners while it is hung as they are loose fitted from the bottom. This is not an insurmountable problem but as the company makes and uses hanging hooks which BOLT onto the rack I cannot understand why they do no include them with this model or, even better, make the chain hooks as part of the corner sections which is similar to the single line design. I would like to have reused the ones off the old rack but of course only have two and the new rack needs four.A second failing (for us) is the types of hooks supplied. One type has the hook in a fixed direction. The second type has a hook which can swivel through 360 degrees. Our earlier rack has a couple of the swivel hooks and we found them more of a nuisance than an advantage. This rack has mainly swivel hooks. As far as possible we have replaced them with fixed hooks from the old rack. It is possible to buy additional hooks but the simple fixed ones are nearly double the price of the swivel hooks which makes little sense. Also something to think about when installing. Our old rack was long enough to almost stretch between two ceiling joists with the chains angled out a little. This rack is shorter so to fit between the standard joist spacing made the chains angle too much. We tried it and it pulled the loose chain hooks to an unattractive angle. As it is probably wise not to rely on hooks screwed into plasterboard we resorted to screwing a couple of wood battens between the joists and then hanging the rack from the battens. Not the most attractive solution but now the wood lengths have had their edges rounded and have been painted they look OK, especially as they are above the rack so not that easy to see.The end result satisfies my wife's need for more hanging space but as an engineer I am disappointed with the design which with a little thought could be a lot better.I find reviews help my buying decisions so if this helps you please click the 'helpful' button so I know I am not wasting my time.
