I bought one of these to use with my fish tank as the extension lead that powers the filter is directly below the tank. I plugged it in and forgot about it for more than two years. This week the the extension lead got soaked in water. This device immediately cut the power, before the fuse in the house could trip. Very impressed.

These are not UK compliant. I returned them.

The small plug fitted a double socket which is unusual and welcomed

This adaptor is electrically very dangerous. It does not comply with essential UK safety standards. For example there is no fuse in the plug and there are no shutters on the socket terminals. Do not buy. If you have one then stop using it and return it or bin it.

Brilliant device, great quality, super quick and will cut out before the mains.

I bought it primarily for use with outside waterproof sockets in the garden, and in the greenhouse, as the usual design does not fit under the covers. Works fine.

Great little safety device. When I ordered this, I didn't realise that not only is it and RCD protector, but is also an international plug fit so is great for my appliances bought overseas
