Great product, fits tightly over lower shelf pins. So far non have come off and I don’t believe any will if fitted properly as they are tight. Covers rust and protected dishes from the said rust. Gives the lower shelf a new look..

Bought these a few weeks ago to spruce up my dishwasher.They arrived promptly, and I gave them a go.They went on fairly easily, you need to push and twist quite hard to get them seated properly. If you had arthritic hands you might struggle.I did use a dab of glue on a couple, not sure whether it has made any difference as none of the ones I fitted have come off.One slight complaint. The grey colour was originally a nice colour, not an exact match for the tray but ok. However, after a few washes they have taken on the kind of red colour that some plastics get when you dishwash something with lots of tomato sauce. If that bothers you then be warned. Doesn't bother me.

These caps are a godsend. They fitted the prongs of my dishwasher rack perfectly and have prevented any further rust marks on my crockery. There are enough caps in the packet to cover all the bottom rack and most of the top. They matched the colour of the rack perfectly when they went on, but have since discoloured slightly (the usual tomato/plastic dilemma), but I can live with that. It was most certainly money well spent, and a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire rack or purchasing new china. Well done to the genius who came up with the idea for these. I’m delighted with them and definitely recommend them.

They work fine in our Bosch dishwasher. You can't get a new basket for our machine, so we were thinking of buying a new dishwasher. I spotted these and thought it worth trying. We had 1 prong rusting completely, so I severed the end and put on a cap. I've added caps to other prongs that look like they are on their way out. You get a lot of caps, but there are a lot of prongs. Still, there's probably enough for another dishwasher. We've been using for a couple of weeks and found that the caps make it a little more difficult to get bowls out, but not a big issue. Delivered on time and as described by Smiths.

Good idea but Not Suitable for All machines - only those with smaller diameter splines (eg cheaper Makes) more robust models (Bosch, age elelctoelux, Miele ) have thicker spines and these won’t fit despite saying universal

Having many of the tips on my dishwasher rack having exposed metal ends, it was starting to ruin my china plates and although £50 for a new rack isn't expensive, the original is less than 2 years old so I thought it was a bit of a waste of money. Found these tips and they are amazing. Quick and easy to fit and has stopped all metal marks on my china. The only thing to watch for is unloading the dishwasher when it's hot - the tips are pliable and easily pulled off with the plates when removing them - wait till everything in the washer is cold and they are solid and do not come off. I can easily recommend these tips.

This product is a great cost effective alternative to the expense of replacing dishwasher tray inserts, or sometimes the entire tray. The caps are easy to fit, although be aware that if your intention is to cap all the prongs on your trays, one pack may not be enough.After a week's use, the caps continue to work well, only minor gripes are as follows:1. The caps have stained pink, probably besause we eat a lot of tomato based food.2. When unloading a dishwasher, objects sometimes catch the base of the caps, dislodging them slightly.However, a good product over all and would definately reccomend.

I unfortunately own a LG dishwasher where in 5 years of light use I have had 2 sets of baskets affected by rust. The first set were replaced under guarantee but I was reluctant to pay nearly £200 to replace them again if they are only going to last a couple of years. I therefore decided to try and resolve the problem by using a specialist paint and putting tips onto all the prongs. These prongs are good quality and fit snugly onto the prongs. I am happy to recommend their use. When I do replace the dishwasher I will probably buy another set and fit them before any rust problem arises.
