SO ADDICTIVE! SO GOOD! SO WORTH IT!!
My opinion is quite biased since it's from a franchise that I love so much, even from before the anime of the first game aired (heck, it was when it got a fan-translation for the PSP), but I cannot enforce and point out enough to say:THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!It is a continuation from the previous game, though it has 16 different characters that studied together, but ended up in a tropical island. To get out of there, they have to kill one of the classmates in a "perfect crime" style. After the students do the investigations necessary and collect all relevant clues, they must do a class trial and piece together all clues and testimonies to determine who is the killer, or else, the killer will go away with his or her crime while the others have to die for the true perpetrator. Quite literally. The story goes FAR beyond the level of awesomeness and imprevisibility of the previous title, keeping what was already good the same way as before, but introducing new exciting mechanics along the central engine of the class trial. It really is quite addicting once the murders happens, but even on the more calmer parts you can get to know better all the characters of the game, earning Hope Fragments to buy skills to help you in the trials. Also, you can collect tons of items hidden in the game, secret events with your in-game friends and even raise your virtual pet while walking about the island. Not only the main game is easily more than 30 hours worth of gameplay to reach the true ending, but IT DOESN'T END THERE!! You also have a couple of mini-games to keep your mind distracted, a lot of hard trophies to earn, option to listen to or watch all musics, events and movies the game has from the main menu, and even a full digital light novel, Danganronpa IF, translated in english, which is very close to a sound novel (Higurashi) as you can get. Being portable, it is even better! You also have the option to adjust difficulty levels for the class trials and even select the original japanese voiceovers instead of the english ones. Dialogue is mainly inside the class trials, but frankly, I found the english voices very weak and emotionless. But, because of that option to choose from, for me, it is a truly must have game to all and any Vita owners out there. If NIS America follows suit with the japanese releases of the game, probably next year we will see a double pack of the first two games of the series for the price of one, so, if you don't have such a rush to play this fabulous game, I recommend waiting a little and save a lot of money.Oh, btw, the artbook that came with the pre-order is beautiful, though it has few pages and could have some background information to refresh the memory of players of the previous games.

More of what you love!
Once again, Dangonronpa is awesome. I loved the first one, and the same things that drew me to the first game are drawing me towards this one. Good character development, pushing you to pick your favourite very quickly, and the introduction of the 'good' female Monokuma is a nice addition.Only gripe so far is that the characters feel a little bit like reskinned versions of the one in the previous games, but that may change a little as the game carries on, as I'm only about 10 hours in so far.

Love it
I love this game.I would recommend playing Danganronpa before playing this one because this game does spoil who survives Danganronpa and refers back to it multiple times.Anyway - this game takes place on an island, a different setting entirely from the first one, but then Monokuma shows up and the killing game that took place in the first game begins again in this one.In a lot of ways this game is similar to the first one - after you complete the story, a school mode unlocks, you can fill up report cards, you can get personal endings with each character in school mode, you investigate the murders and stuff. But there are also several additions - Monokuma hides small versions of himself all over the place, there is a mode where you play Monomi and destroy a bunch of Monobeasts, the trials change the names for some of the parts and add a 'duel' mode where someone specific argues with you and your bullets become blades for that part, you have a level and gain experience by talking to people, walking and raising a pet that is like a tamagotchi in your handbook. It is better in several ways too - you can save at almost any time, you can't leave investigation areas until you find EVERYTHING important so you won't miss 'that one thing' and search for it forever, all of the trials are roughly as complex as each other. There are also parallels between all the trials with the ones that occurred in Danganronpa - I find this quite clever as it isn't immediately obvious as to how until you have done several.Loved it just as much as the first one, even though it made me cry. Not for everyone. But Incredibly fun for those who it is for.
An extremely unique game to say the least, I don't normally play these niche games but I found this to be extremely fun.I'd like to start of by saying you will need to have either read up,watched the anime or played the first game to understand alot of what's happening due to how farfetched the game is even if you have played the first game - this is a good thing. The game is a JRPG and Mysetery/Detective game with arcade style mini games scattered throughout. In the game you are tasked with interacting with your peers, other high schoolers who are all quirky in their own right and identifying the criminal of several murder cases which can be repetitive at the start but after the tutorial stuff is done will help develop story and atmosphere. As you can probably guess this game is not for everyone. If you are a JRPG,anime or mystery game fan this may be the game for you. If the games description and/or this review pique your interest I'd suggest reading up on the first game and if the plot interests you buy this, you will not be dissapointed.

best psvita game
i liked the first danganronpa but the ending was disapointing . danganronpa 2 ia now my favorite game it has a better storyline better characters more and better gameplay (expect hangman's gambit wich is just made to be extremely difficult) the soundtrack is a lot better and the diversity bettewn the chapters is pretty good .also executions are a lot better and more spectacular .also there is a zero escape reference inside the game.the situations that this characters are in are far more enjoyable compared to the first one. also when a murder happens the give a tiny hint of who the killer is but i was the only one of my friends that was able to tell the killer from the start. must buy
