Doesn't work on all liquids, trial and error

Bought this to drizzle icing glaze and savoury sauce. I did feel like a pro chef using it :-) but realistically it's no better than the tines of a fork for artistic random drizzling or for doing lines back and forth over a row of fruit turnovers. But it's certainly better than an ordinary spoon, as it effectively directs glaze or sauce to and out of a narrow spout. Make sure to wipe excess from the bottom using a bowl rim otherwise the excess drops onto your cake or meal creation; depending on how runny the glaze or sauce, you'll have to remove the excess a lot until there's only a small amount left in the spoon, which then reduces how much you can deploy in one go e.g. I found I had to refill at least once just to glaze one apple turnover!I didn't buy it to write with but I did experiment and was unsuccessful, unless drunken writing's ok - here the spoon felt too large, and I'd recommend this instead ASIN B00L9X2OYM because you have much more control over the flow and direction of your icing.

Started some molecular cooking and of all the utensils I've needed, this is indeed my favourite. It's versatile and can be used in daily cooking also. Easy to use as long as the texture of the food/fluid is right and a good size.

Cheap but I don't buy again.
