The Great Escape / A Bridge Too Far / Battle of Britain [Blu-ray] [1963] [Region Free]

Battle of Britain is one I’ve not seen for many years and now on Blu ray it looks superb- never has aerial battle scenes looked so good. Yes, it’s overloaded with well-known actors but who wants wannabes and jobsworths to represent one of Britain’s most glorious episodes. A Bridge Too Far is a Great War film and the characters are well-drawn though the American contribution is a tad over-done if historical accuracy is to be considered. The Graat Escape is a notable romp but I can’t swallow Steve McQueen as the star and the motorbike scene is fun but utter nonsense. The real story was far more breath-taking. Overall. Superb set.

These classic War Films should be in every movie buff’s collection. Blu-ray picture quality is a step up from DVD. Good extras in The Great Escape disc too. An inexpensive way to add these classics to your video library. I bought mine in an Amazon deal which was an absolute bargain.

The media could not be loaded. Here we have 3 classic WW2 films . If you know them you will love them. And if your like me your up grading from dvd to Bluray .They have all been beautiful upgraded to full HDwith 5.1 DTS HD . Awesome! The Great Escape (region ABC )172 min; A Bridge too Far ( region B) 168 min and Battle of Britain (region B)131 min.

A nice collection at a decent price.The prints are average and being honest a disappointment

Well worth the money for 3 great movies in Blu-Ray. I watched them on my 4K UHD Blu-Ray player and the picture was amazing. I just wish they had more great movies like that this one, so I could purchase them.

you get 3 great movies for the price of one, the great escape is even packed with bonus features, which I didn’t expect. Unfortunately there is no pre menu for the films so you have to pause the movie to access special features and subtitles. The transfers also aren’t the best with some shots looking worse than others. Still worth picking up
