The media could not be loaded.  I almost did not buy this because there are negative reviews that this food bowl riser is "flimsy," "cheap," or "poorly constructed." That is unfortunate because nothing is further from the truth.Rather, those that took away stars or panned this stand in their review either (A) did not read the description and/or directions or (B) do not understand what it means when something is purposely manufactured to be ADJUSTABLE.There is something inherently wrong with criticizing an item because it is exactly what it is described as being and has been built to be - but that is what has happened here with the negative reviews.This food bowl riser is DEFINITELY NOT "flimsy," nor "cheap," nor "poorly constructed." Rather, it is ADJUSTABLE, meaning that it will fit a wide range of food bowls of varying size.Given that it is adjustable, that means there MUST be a certain amount of play between the different parts.If it were not so, it could not be adjustable.________________________I have used this riser to feed what is now my very large, 1 year old puppy dog for more than 6 months - 2 or 3 meals per day every day. This food bowl riser is the perfect height for him and as I said, it easily adjusts to fit whatever bowl he eats from.Even as enthusiastic as he gets at mealtime, it has never, not even once, tipped over, been knocked over, nor even slid across the floor. It has steadfastly survived each meal with him eating the food, licking the bowl, licking the riser legs, licking the floor under the bowl/riser, and dancing around the kitchen after finishing the meal.This is made out of sturdy bamboo. It adjusts with 1 hand, folds flat using the included Allen wrench in seconds (well, as long as you do not lose the Allen wrench - it is 4 mm if you do lose it, by the way), and when closed to its smallest footprint, takes up very little room.If you need to lift your dog's food bowl off the floor to make it easier to eat, this very-well-build riser will do it for you.Very highly recommended.P.S. The large silver ball (Omega Paw Ball, ASIN: B0028QHN3G) is there to slow his eating and prevent bloat.________________________P.P.S. For those that do not like that this riser has a little play between the moving parts, you can always size it to fit your specific dog bowl and then permanently secure the slats together with super-glue, nuts and bolts, clips, or whatever, and that would certainly make it more solid ...... but then it would no longer be adjustable, would it?

I'm very impressed with these bowl stands - especially the attention to detail, not only in its construction but the design. You can tell it was very well thought out - something you don't find too much of nowadays. And then to include a tool and pin to lock it in place once you've established the right position for your bowls - wow! impressed. And no wobbly legs! And at a great price point to boot. Only disappointment was when I couldn't buy 3 - with two dogs and their water bowl, I'm sure many people have a need for a 3rd bowl. Either way, I know my Danes will be loving their new stands - and mom says they look really nice in the kitchen too. :-)

The media could not be loaded.  I like the height of these elevators. I’m happy they created these for auto-feeders. That’s wonderful!Unfortunately, they are a little too small for my 12L autofeeder. Considering that you want elevators for big dogs, it should fit an auto feeder made for big dogs, right?Also want to point out that they aren’t super sturdy so it’s probably not the ideal for more food enthusiastic pups that may knock the feeder over to try and get more food to come out. My dogs are 75 and 80 pound mushpot Malamutes, so this works for me.

I needed something quickly to lift a water bowl up for a pit bull I was watching. It was easy to build, sturdy, and fit the water bowl perfectly!

I love these stands! I got my first one about a year ago. It has held up amazing and looks just as good as the stands I got a month ago. I have tall dogs, so it's nice to get their dishes off the floor. I have the 14" tall stand. They can hold a range of dog dish sizes, as you can see from the photos. It's just big enough to hold the giant slow feed dish. I also got the stand for the waterer. That stand is a commonly returned item, but I'm not sure why. It holds the waterer tightly and has not tipped. All I can think is that people don't properly measure the waterer before ordering.I do love these, but I should tell you that they are not the most sturdy of stands. However, if you raise anything up without giving it a wider base, it will tip easier. These are lightweight, so the stand holding the slow feeder dish does slide around the floor a bit. However, the dog who needs the slow feeder also gets over exited for food. I wasn't sure how it would hold up to her, but it has not tipped over once so I am very happy.In case people are wondering, the dogs who use these are a Weimaraner, a Standard Poodle, and two Newfiedoodles (one dish and stand is not pictured). They are all large dogs and the height works well for all of them.

Reviewer 1 category: the item is sturdy when put together properly, serves it's function, and is aesthetically pleasing. I'm planning to keep mine.Reviewer 2 category: the item is not manufactured with enough attention to detail. I have a feeling this depends on the size you order, or the style. Mine is the 16" for large breed and the bolts are not long enough to reach the nut if applied correctly. Thus the nut either has to go on backward, making it difficult to tighten completely (which would introduce an unsteady/less sturdy build) unless you grab the outside of the flat edge of the nut with a pliers for tightening. OR cut/shave out the holes a little more so the bolt can fit further through to grab the nut in the correct orientation.

This elevated dog bowl stand is GREAT! It's so helpful, my dog no longer has to stretch her head down to the floor to drink her water. It's very well made and does not slip and slide around the floor when she is drinking. I bought the insulated bowl also and it fits perfectly in the stand. Highly recommend!

I have a German shepherd and a rotti cross and this is the perfect height for them. I just have one for their water bowl but will probably order two more for their food. It isn’t perfectly stable but we haven’t had any spills yet. Had to put a stool beside it so the cats can drink out of it since their water fountain isn’t always good enough for them

Had to pay customs fees (in Canada) which brought the total to over $200 for 2 of these. One broke while I assembled it & both fell over as soon as my dogs began eating from them. VERY disappointing. Contacted owner . . . . .

Ordered this for my whippet, his previous one was nearer the floor. This product is fantastic, it's just at the right height and sturdy. I'm so pleased with it that I've ordered 2 more for my greyhound.

Zuerst hatte ich eine Gestell für zwei Schalen, auf dem meist nur der Wassernapf stand und nur zwei mal am Tag der Futternapf. Jetzt habe ich diesen Ständer, tausche zum Füttern kurz die Schalen und brauche so viel weniger Platz. Für meine kleine Küche ist das die perfekte Lösung.

This was very easy to put together, just one screw with Alan key (provided). It is very sturdy and looks good. I needed a new raised feeder for my elderly dog , but wanted something that looked good as I feed her in the living room away form my younger dog.
