Star Images 12-Inch Godzilla Head to Tail Series 1 Action Figure

This is the first action figure I've ever bought but I've been watching Godzilla movies since the 60s and have all but two of them on DVD. I'm definitely pleased with this. The construction is solid, the several points of articulation work well, and the detail is excellent.So, why not 5 stars? Two minor quibbles basically. The tail section doesn't come attached and it took quite a bit of pressure to push the ball joint into the socket; at one point I didn't think I was going to be able to do it. Also the head is smaller than that of the movie Godzilla which doesn't even have a neck unlike the figure. Maybe the company was sent the specs and images before the design was completely finalised, though I think that's unlikely.But I still like it a lot and it's reasonably priced for what it is, though hardly cheap.Update, 16/08/14.I've since bought a couple of other Godzilla figurines (earlier versions) directly from Japan and this is by far the most solidly constructed of the three. Let's say 4.9 stars.

Wow! This is basically a very posable figurine, but first impression (after seeing the movie) is that an inordinate amount of pains taking effort has been put into NECA's 2014 Godzilla which caters nicely to the Godzilla lovers out there.The model is very highly detailed with all of the limbs, head, torso and tail articulated (putting tail on is easy). The colour is quite strange; appearing jet black in the package; upon taking it out, the colour appears to be cobalt black, with a delicate but effective dash of sea-blue on his flanks (sides) and a lovely realistic reptilian green on the chest, belly and under-tail. Very high posablility, as mentioned (so it's like having a new model everyday). The model has a lot of charisma aura about it and is very nice to look at when not messing about with it. Also of note is the very rough lizardy texture - nice and realistic again. A must for Sci Fi and Godzilla fans in particular. Well done NECA!

I have given it four stars because it arrived in good time, is of good quality and my son loves it. However, it is not the Godzilla that was advertised but a different version. Please fix this.

Expensive for what it is. Not overally big but I suppose you get what you pay for....level of detail is fantastic;the body;tail,arms,head,legs,jaw all move seperately. It is very durable also as my lad will break most things. 4 yr old son takes it everywhere he goes even to the bath and bed...so all in all happy with purchase

Good, solid figurine. Although, bare in mind that it's 12 inches from head to tail and the tail runs horizontally. Actual standing height from head to feet is 6.5 inches.The tail does not come attached its quite hard to pop on! All those years pumping iron in the gym and I struggled to pop it on. Eventually, I found turning it in rotation while using force to push in, does the trick.

A birthday present for my 7 year old grandson. |He wanted a Godzilla toy but this was expensive, just plain black with legs that moved slightly. Very uninspiring. If I had seen it in a shop I wouldn't have bought it.

A bit smaller than we thought but is very sterdy and detail to perfection. My son loves this one.I would recommend.
