Bobbi Brown Teenage Beauty: Everything You Need to Look Pretty, Natural, Sexy and Awesome

My oldest granddaughter just hit that age where make-up is going to be used. *sigh* She wanted make up for her 15th birthday. But...she needs to know how to apply it properly for her age. No need to look like an underage hooker. I live in a different state and she lacks female guidance (for various reasons)...so I believe this book will help her tremendously. I took a look through it before wrapping and sending it down....wish I'd had one of these when I was young and figuring out how much is too much.... It was a great addition to the makeup and skin care sets I sent.

Ok so I'm in 10th grade and I really want to become a professional makeup artist. I just started using makeup 6 months ago but fell in love with it. I have read quite a few makeup books, and have gotten the basic technique down and learned enough where I think I'm past the beginners stage. With me being in my middle teens I wanted to find a good book that had pictures of different looks that were wearable for every day life. I found this book on the internet and loved the reviews so much I went ahead and bought it before checking it out first to see if I really wanted it. I had not read any of Bobbi Brown’s books at that time so I didn't know what to expect. After ready the first few pages, I couldn't put it down! It was really well written and I definitely had a higher self-esteem after reading it! An awesome book for all teenagers to read, even if your in you're 20 or 30, I think you could take something away from this book! ;) ~Have a great day!

I purchased this book as an entry point for my daughter to seek out professional advice on makeup and was pleasantly surprised at the openness of Bobbi Browns reflections on her own beauty image growing up and how she reasures that every teenage girl has a natural beauty within just waiting to blossom. A great book that shows that makeup enhances not defines the beauty of every teenage girl.

The book is a MUST HAVE for anyone who loves makeup. The book is #timeless and what I love is that it shows the makeup style in the 90's which was characterized by natural skin, pastels, and glossy lips. It also has pics and makes mention of all types of skin color and features, so I believe this book will teach girls to embrace their roots. The book will help teens to understand the importance of natural beauty at their age because nowadays the trend of heavy makeup is shading the natural beauty of ladies in general. Don't doubt in buying this masterpiece.

All of the things I have tried to explain to my daughter is spelled out in this book. It is must have for teenaged girls. Thank you Bobbi Brown. I gave the book to my daughter as a gift. I didn't have to make her read it. She took the book to school and read it!!! We are only allowing her to use lipgloss, mascara, and eyeliner now. We are incrementally adding other make up products. Our primary goal is for our daughter to take care of her skin. This book explains all of the information in detail.

I bought this book, along with makeup products, as a birthday present for a teenager who wanted to learn how to wear makeup. Because I purchased the book from Amazon based on the author, Bobbi Brown, and the title "Teenage Beauty: Everything You Need To Look Pretty..." I felt disappointed when I read through the book prior to wrapping it with the eyeshadow, blush and lip gloss I also purchased. Even though I found Bobbi Brown's stories about her journey, beauty and make-up inspiring and critical for a young person to read- and even an "old person" like me- it definitely lacked the step-by-step instructions on how to apply make-up I was anticipating and counting on for my gift.

I purchased this for a young teen in the family who is just beginning her journey with make up, hair style choices, etc... I looked it over before wrapping and was really impressed with the info. Although it is geared toward a teenager's skin issues and concerns, it was really informative. I wonder if she has a similar book for the over 40 crowd - our skin is much different after we start to move out of our 30s and it would be helpful info to have.

I purchased this book for my niece, who's growing up into that stage of wearing makeup. She seems to really like the book, so I'm very happy I chose it. The book gives advice on makeup, techniques and teenage life in general. I also like the book because it covered things important to teens...the how to wear a certain style for school, out with friends, etc. Good book.
