Don't buy if you want a peaceful life...but do if you want a happy cat!
My boy has been obsessed with these since he was a kitten, and he’s now 5 years old. We’ve tried plenty of treats over the years, but nothing compares to Thrive’s freeze-dried chicken. He absolutely loves them – so much so that he’ll tear into the Amazon box if we don’t unpack it fast enough! He’s a very vocal (typical Siamese), and when these are in the house, he doesn’t let us forget it. We get constant meows, yowls and full-on harassment until he gets his fix. And fair warning: they need to be locked away securely. On more than one occasion, our little thief has broken into the cupboard or clawed open the packet if we’ve left it out. They’re not the cheapest treats, but honestly, they’re worth every penny for how much he enjoys them. Pure chicken, no junk, and clearly delicious (if his enthusiasm is anything to go by). Highly recommend – just be ready for the harassment!

AVOID!!!
I've been buying this for my cat since 2018, up until last week he's absolutely LOVED Thrive Chicken treats, loved them with an obsession. Last week I ordered the 170g tub, opened it, and immediately noticed that the treats were an off-brown colour, as opposed to being white, and instead of them feeling fluffy (albeit obviously still very dry) they were VERY hard when touched, almost stone like. He's NEVER rejected these before.......until a few days ago. He wasn't having any of it. I gave it a couple of hours, tried again, same outcome. So I threw them out, and put it down to it simply being a "one-off". I then ordered another tub. It just arrived (15:03 - Tuesday 22nd October 2024) and noticed straight away that the treats were once again that weird off-brown hue and very hard. Guess what happened? Yep.......he rejected them again. Absolute waste of money. That's nearly £40 down the drain, but I only have myself to blame. Instead of being a "once bitten, twice shy" kinda guy, I should have written them off after the first disappointment last Friday. But, alas, you live and you learn. I 100% won't buy these again. They've clearly changed their process in making these, one could assume? Or perhaps they have batches of Thrive Chicken that may have gone off, and I've just been the unlucky recipient? Either way, all good things must come to an end and, this is most certainly the end.

Subscribed - our cat loves it
Based on our experience, these chicken treats are a fantastic choice for cat owners who prioritize simple, high-quality ingredients. The fact that the list is just chicken is a huge plus, offering a pure protein snack we feel good about giving our cat. The treats are a great, manageable bite-size, perfect for quick rewards. Most importantly, our cats absolutely adore them and come running as soon as they hear the sound of us shaking the tube. She is consistently excited for these more than other brands we've tried. While we acknowledge they are a bit pricier than many conventional treats on the market, we believe the clean formulation and our cats' enthusiastic response make them worth the extra cost.

Cats love this stuff !
I’ve been buying Thrive treats for my Ragdoll. cat since 2011 , he would refuse all the other treats the other cats loved , keeping only to his boring kitty kibble , I did feel sorry for him at treat time . But when I discovered these , he couldn’t get enough of them waking me up in the middle of the night , refusing to come in until the tub rattled and if I stood my ground he’d return looking bedraggled and in a complete mess from hiding in the garden hedge all day sulking! He quickly became heavily dependent on Thrive and I was eventually only going to work to feed his habit ! But as he’s got older we’ve been able to manage his habit. Never withdrawing him completely but allowing him a fix only at meal times . He will still refuse all food unless there is a freshly crumbled Thrive treat on his kitty kibble and stops half way through so he can get the rest of his daily allowance. I have to say that - this little guy never touched wet food - we think he associated wet food with the tummy troubles he had as a tiny kitten but Thrive has helped him overcome this fear and obviously doesn’t upset his tummy , he now eats wet tuna flake wet cat food and wet chicken breast wet cat food, as long as there has been a freshly crumbled Thrive sprinkled on the top ! This is a relief as he is getting on in years now and never been one for cleaning his teeth, so he’s going to need a wet food diet at some time in the future. There is no real smell to these treats , obviously they must taste good as they all like them , I prefer to buy in the large tubs as feel these are better quality than smaller tubes , too many of the smaller tubes I have bought in the past were so hard you’d need a hammer to break them . Romeo gets through approx Tub and 1/2 every 4 weeks and I can’t say how long they keep as never in the house for longer than 3 weeks . The large tubs are always full to the brim , whereas the smaller tubes I’ve purchased look half empty and the actual treats as I said rock hard . The large tubs have a foil covering that keeps them fresh . The large tubes can be recycled into fab little crayon boxes and other handy little containers with a bit of sticky black plastic and imagination , even used them as flower pots. I cant say anything else except my little guy loves them !

Chewy but it is OK if you can bear the smell
My 2 year old cat likes all treats except the chicken liver. She is not fossy at all and I was surprised that she did not eat the liver. But the smell ,omg, my whole house has an awful smell . The downside of this product. I am just looking forward to finish this. It is expensive and I assume it is pure meat and high quality but the smell,oh I can't deal with it.

In meiner Packung waren fast alle Stücke in Takt.

I have a picky Bengal cat and these are his absolute favorite treat. He tries to get into the cabinet where I keep them.
