I was expecting this to be the same thickness and heftiness of my silpat mats but this is very thin and flimsy. It DOES still get the job of keeping the bottom of my bread from burning so I still gave it 4 stars. The only thing to make it better would be if there was more structure/thickness especially on the straps - they just flop around but for the price I’m ok with it.

Not sure why it took me 3 years to look for a dutch oven style silpat, but they are useful and don’t create as much waste with sourdough baking. Holds up to high temps well. Would like an oval shape, and I wish the “handles” were easier to grab with oven mitts on.

This little guy is perfect for transferring bread in and out of a Dutch oven. You won’t have to burn your hands with parchment paper. It’s non stick too so it removes easily. It’s the little things that makes life easy!

This product has performed exactly as described. It made making sourdough bread a game changer!

They placed this thin silicone baking mat in a plastic bag without any tissue to prevent it from sticking to the bag. Therefore, it ripped when removing it from the bag. It is super thin. I needed it right away to bake bread so I couldn't return it.After the first use I could see 2 areas that looked like the silicone threads "ran" such as in nylon stockings. I can't believe I paid this much for this super thin mat.
