Very Easy to install. Pictures show box contents with detailed easy-to-read instructions (although most won't need them). The base clip (that is attached to the vent) allows the clip to be extended by turning the large knob to the necessary length for the clip to reach the vent slat. Then once attached turn the knob again, and it retracts the clip to mount the base securely.The holder can then be attached to the base. The holder can be rotated easily or positioned at any angle desired. The phone slips in and allows it to be charged while in the holder. The side brackets are slightly curved to enhance the grip on the phone. To release the phone, simply press the button at the back and top of the mount. The phone stays in securely on bumpy roads.I have tried several phone holders and this is the easiest and most secure to date with the easy-release button being the most functional.My only suggestion for future enhancements would be to have the side clamps more centered on the holder for less shaking on bumpy roads (better center of gravity for the phone) and move the release button to the bottom to allow almost seamless release and charging cable removal almost simultaneously.All in all one of the sturdiest and most functional holder I have used to date. A great value and price.

This phone holder is beautifully made and simple to install. I mounted it to the left center vent on my 2018 Corolla so it's really convenient to reach from the driver's seat. The entire mounting process took less than a minute. The locking mechanism that secures the holder to the vent is precise and positive, and the ball joint to adjust the angle of the phone is nicely made and very secure. My IPhone SE 2020 installs quickly and easily by resting it on the base of the phone holder and squeezing the side brackets together - no loose phone or rattles at all. To release the phone, just press the single button on the top rear of the holder and the brackets pull away while the phone remains steady on the base of the holder. The black and piano black construction of the holder fits in nicely with the interior trim on my car.I've tried other types of holders such as windshield and dash-top suction mounts, and they work for a while then fall off. This vent-mount holder will not have these problems due to its secure mounting system that uses a metal rather than a plastic hook and won't be affected by heat or humidity. Overall, this Lotuny is a high-quality vent-mount phone holder that will stay secure, and it's a great value at Amazon pricing.

I am truly enjoying this phone holder! I have put it to the test on the bumpiest roads and it is super secure. It doesn't move at all. The only thing I would change is where the release button is. I have another phone holder by this brand and the button is on the bottom versus the top. I like the bottom better. Not an issue that would take away any stars at all. Other phone holders I have tried have been terrible and not hold up at all. It could be too hot or too cold and the phone holder would drop due to loss of suction! OR I go across and railroad track and it gets really shaky or it loosens up and would eventually fall off. Not this one though..this one is absolutly amazing! I am a super picky person too and this is one I would recommend to everyone. Trust me...you will not be disappointed!

So this last year I've probably bought 8 different phone holders for my wife and she either hasn't liked where they would actually attach or some part would eventually warp because of the inside heat in the car and break.The 1 holder that has worked she won't use, not in a place where she wants it.She wants a holder close to the dash, almost line of sight with windshield, but not blocking windshield.Finally, a vent holder that clamps on the vent and not pinch the blades of a vent, the holder has a button on back to open the holder to place phone in and adjust holder to fit snug, the whole spring action was too much work.Finally my wife has a holder she loves to use, easy to put in, and very secure. And right there at the dash level.

I have tried multiple cell phone holders for my car and all of them have failed. The suction ones suck. The stick on ones come loose when the temperature goes up. Cup holder ones take away the space meant for my cup. The custom designed ones for my model car are impossible to mount correctly. The air vent ones do work, but slide off the vent fin after a few bumps. That is until I tried this Lotuny product. The design is simple and straight forward. The directions are illustrated and totally understandable. Installation is quick and easy (it took me longer to find my car keys than to mount this holder). You attach a little ball to the holder, then push a button to separate the fingers that will slide above and below the fin of your air vent grill. Then ( and this is brilliant), you turn a dial that extends a hook to the far edge of the same fin. Releasing the button, releases the spring tension on those fingers that then securely grab the top and bottom of the fin and then you turn the dial the other way so the hook is now retracts to latch securely around the fin's inner edge. You push another button on the back of the holder. Its arms open wide to receive your phone. You close the arms snuggly and off you go, secure in the knowledge that you phone will stay where you want it to be - snugged to your air vent!I can't tell you how happy I am to have found something that actually works so elegantly well at doing what I bought it to do! My daughter needed a better car mount as the one she had before would slip loose. I had purchased a magnetic mount for my car that attaches securely to the vent but she wanted to be able to use her wireless charger. Saw this cradle mount and thought it might work for her. Works great! Easy to install and even easier to squeeze the jaws to hold the phone and the button to release works great.[update 1/5/2023]My daughter has had it for a couple of weeks now and was able to move it over to the driver side air vent herself. She really likes so I want to bump this up to 5 stars.
