Laudable kettle
I bought this kettle recently totally based on the previous reviews here, and I must say that I am very glad that I did. The listing photographs are a very accurate representation and I'm sure most people will agree that the kettle looks good, with lots of smooth curves and a good design. The steel looks to be of a good quality, although there is some natural discolouration on the bottom of the kettle through use. The kettle weighs just over 400 grams when empty, which is pretty light for a kettle in my experience, making it easy to handle and manoeuvre. The lid is easily removed and replaced, with the three holes in it letting steam escape to let you know when the water is boiling. Water boils pretty quickly, certainly comparing well to all of the other kettles that I have owned recently. The spout is long and thin, but seems securely attached to the kettle and is not at all loose. I love the smooth and extremely controlled, accurate way you can pour water from the spout. When you start pouring other kettles, the water can splash a little due to a poorly designed spout, but no such problems here. As you can probably imagine, you can't pour a full kettle of water in three seconds due to the thin nature of the spout.Highly recommended.

Brilliant drip kettle - stop asking and buy
I did a whopping amount of googling before buying one of these. I was sceptical that I needed one but I wanted to do coffee right. It's not that you need one to make a coffee, because you don't. But when you do make a coffee with this it feels like much more of an occasion, which rightly or wrongly is what I enjoy about making a coffee with a Chemex and this.Yes the flow is easy to control and you can basically wet any grain of coffee at will, but filling it with boiling water, pouring like you know what you are doing and drying it at the end is all apart of my routine now and I love it. I empty it and shove a towel in and about to dry it each time and I've never seen rust or any issues. I do that whilst the Chemex is dripping out.It also looks great on the shelf. So stop worrying and if you want the experience go ahead. Good luck!

Good product but pricy
Typical Japanese quality and attention to detail. Everything fits well and the spout pours cleanly with good control. If you do lots of pour-over coffee this will make life easy for you. There are loads of 'knock off' and clones for this kettle and some may work as well as the Hario but its worth paying the small premium to be sure.Stainless steel throughout, this works well on out induction hob

Great little kettle
I have bought a number of Hario products over the years and all are made with care and quality. This kettle is no exception. I bought the kettle for it's precision spout, to use while making filter coffee. I works perfectly on my induction cooker and brings the water to the boil quickly. The small spout is perfect for a precise pour. The only drawback to this product is that the actual operational volume of the kettle is 0.8 Litre. If you were to fill it any more, you would risk spillage when boiling. But I believe this would be true to all kettles of this type.

Beautiful addition as well as being functional.
This is a great addition to my growing coffee related paraphernalia. It looks very sophisticated and it heats up water fairly quickly considering it's a fully metal body. It pours water very smoothly and helps create even extraction when using it as a pour over kettle. I think that the price was reasonable for the product. It's a renowned company that specialises in this kind of thing and it shows. It's easy to clean, minimal upkeep and is a nice conversation starter if you like to bore your friends with coffee talk, and I really do.

My Hario Kettle
This is a beautifully finished product and allows a remarkable pour control for making drip coffee. It is also very comfortable to hold and has an attractive satin finish. The seller Mt Fuji is a most courteous person and he enclosed a personal note, together with an origami bird with my kettle. I cannot recommend this kettle or seller highly enough. To keep this kettle in pristine condition I never use it on the stove top and always dry it immediately after use. It also allows me to make an an excellent tea using the rest of my Hario kit.

Gorgeous, Professional, Quality!
The latest edition to my ever-expanding coffee equipment collection. The Hario steel drip kettle is quality through and through and a must for pour-over coffee making. I don't regret buying this kettle one bit.I usually boil a regular electric kettle and then pour the boiling water into this one and the water temperature is then ready to go. This can also be used directly on a gas hob but It's not my preference.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Great, but rust is an issue
I've had this kettle for just over a month now, and it's been great, pour control is fantastic, however, rust has begun to form on the inside of the kettle which is rather disappointing. I do use the kettle frequently on an electric stove which I assume must has accelerated the issue, but, considering it is advertised as being able to do so, I am dissappointed.
