Hummingbirds Happy and So Will the Watcher Be :)
Wow! This particular hummingbird feeder is just amazing, awesome, great for the price! I had to let others know.First, the ant feeder "built in"...well, get ready folks if you live in a "busy ant" community, there are going to be a "few", and just a few make their way in to the inside liquid. Ants simply build a bridge right over the little built in ant guard which sits in the middle. Yeppers, you put water in it but hey, those ants don't mind as it is not "big" enough to discourage them. I have to wonder whoever designed this product if he or she lives in a "busy ant" neighborhood. Hopefully, the manufacturer will make this a little wider on any future updates! However, please again note that not many manage. Yet, whew...they really do swarm the bottom outside of this thing, and get on the top by the yellow feeders. The hummers don't seem to mind those around the little yellow flowers. Please redesign or make this mote wider :)Even with that, I still give this feeder a high five. The hummingbirds love it, if I can manage to keep the "bully one" away, and it looks very nice in the yard! Also, very easy to put together and simply hang. Some complain that the top is not easy to pull off, and yes, I will agree with that....perhaps a "screw on type top" would have been best, as you will have to errrr pull and twist a little to get it off. So, be sure and pour the liquid out the flowers before popping open! As for as placing back on after you put liquid in...not as hard.Anyway, my hummingbirds inspected closely and said for me to give it a high five, so I did! And, proof in the pudding, I just bought another today, and plan on another shortly.Have a great hummingbird "feeder" season all!UPDATE! OUTRAGEOUS. PLEASE IGNORE ALL THE ABOVE ON the busy ant neighborhood, and just a FEW getting in...good grief! After only a week of using both of these feeders I bought, they are full and I mean FULL of ants on the inside, and bees which look like a mixture of honey bees, and hornets. TERRIBLE! I will never buy another of these no matter how pretty they might be. You should see this filthy mess I have to clean up, and I do mean on the inside of the container. The so call ant mote is nothing...nada...not working! Guess I wrote my original view too quickly, but you learn with use! After emptying this thing, I found they are huge red ants, not the little ones! I thought they were honey bees, but they are those large red ants...gross!

The Hummers seem to enjoy it.
The hummers seem to be enjoying it!I have not had any problems with ants invading the feeder but I have had a issue with the feeder tilting to one side. I did eliminate this problem by super gluing the pole into the threaded space straight, instead of using the threaded bit inside which makes the feeder lean when putting the hanging pole in. It is very easy to clean & fill with no problems. Other wise, it works like a charm!

Only hangs crooked when you overtighten the rod when first installing.
Like I said in headline: Only hangs crooked when you over tighten the rod when first installing. The only time I have EVER seen any of these hang crooked is when you over tighten the rod when first screwing it in.. you can clearly see it cracking and hear it as well.. and that is with a very little over tightening pressure too. So be gentle.SLOWLY tighten it and as soon as you feel the pressure of it getting snug.. STOP. very lightly UNSCREW it a tiny, tiny bit and you will never have any tilting problem.I have a total of 6 of these on my property... having learned that do not over tighten lesson years ago all 6 are hanging perfectly.LIKE OTHERS have said.. no matter what you do after that you cannot get it to hang straight.. bending the rod, etc... nothing works.*BUT if you are really determined you get a smaller threaded rod that slides all the way thru the threaded hole and add a small washer and nut on bottom and let it hang on that... that will work as I have tested it with one my father ruined by over tightening.. but that's some effort when you can just buy another new one... imo.

No spill feeder
All the other feeders I have tried have a problem. The day heats any air in the top of the bottle and pushes the nectar out onto the ground attracting ants and wasting nectar. The cool evening causes the air to contract drawing in more air and then the next morning the nectar is forced out again. This feeder doesn't suffer that problem. The nectar is in a dish with a lid so there is nothing pushed out on the ground. The bees and wasps can't use it and the ants who manage to get inside just drown in the nectar. The ants can get across the little moat even when it is filled with water so I don't bother. There is plenty of room for hummers and after a week I have 3 or 4 regular visitors. I like to watch them perch and drink stopping to flick their tongue between dips in the feeder. They also hover over the feeder to drink. I can see that it doesn't hang quite level but the hummers don't seem to mind. I may add a weight as was suggested by another reviewer.I will probably add a couple feeders next year and see if I can get more birds to settle in the area.It would be easier to use if it had a plug or screw cap to pour nectar in, but it would be harder to clean. The lid snaps on and off so it can spill when you are taking it on and off.

Love the saucer type feeders.
I like this type of feeder, much easier to clean. The plastic perches that connect to the feeder are a little fragile. This shipped with one feeder wrapped in bubble wrap. That one was intact. For some reason, the other one was not wrapped, and more than half of the plastic perches were broken off. Refund was easy, and I have ordered some super glue to see if I can fix it before I throw it away.

Larger than I thought but still good
Bought this 8 months or so ago. It's fine, and definitely attracted hummingbirds, but I had no idea how large it was going to be.Really wish it was a lot smaller. (Large feeders don't attract more birds at a time. And there's not enough birds coming to use up all the nectar I make. So I end up wasting a lot.)Oct 2016 - update. I just wanted to mention that this feeder is holding up absolutely fine after two years of use. (Although I will mention that last month for the first time I was getting ants in it? Never had the problem and it was crazy because they could get in through the tiny holes for the birds beaks, but once they drank some liquid they fattened up and couldn't get out. Lol!) After trying a few things like 2 sided tape on the pole it didn't seem to deter the ants. In the end I moved the feeder to a different location as once the ants had found it there was no stopping them. Also I'll mention that this is definitely much easier to clean than other hummingbird feeder designs.

Nice style for the birds but......
Didn't start off too well. I ordered 2 and one came missing one of the yellow feeder ports. Amazon sorted that out immediately and very efficiently. Then I found it much cheaper at Walmart but inertia said ah well, get on with it. So I started using it and that's when I realized that the design is irritating. It is extremely difficult to get the lid on because it snaps on, eventually, maybe, possibly, rather than screwing on. It is really hard to get the lid on properly without spilling the sticky sugar water. The birds seem to like it but me, not so much.
