Holds up well once calibrated
I used this pen for a whole grow and when I recalibrated the device it was a tenth point off.Used another PH test to compare and things were spot on. This one comes with 2 rounds of PH calibration powder and extra batteries. At a fraction of a cost of some other pens, this one has proven accurate.

matches my others
seems decent.I got it free with purchase of a multi function pH/TDS/ppm/ec/temp from same. companymatches other readings.

Good meter
I got the TDS, EC, Temp combo meter. I thought it had the pH meter as well but that was my mistake. I have only used it a few times as I need to research how to compare my real time results to acceptable parameters. I use it in my hydroponic reservoirs. One thing I know for sure is the temperature probe seems to be pretty accurate. I tested it against my infrared thermometer which I know is very accurate. The backlit LCD screen is bright at night and easy to read. The directions it comes with are a little difficult to understand as they are in some poorly translated English but it’s not a deal breaker. Overall, a good meter at a pretty decent price.

Works great
I am no scientist, but from what I can tell this meter works great. I used it to test out some RV water filters and the reading from the meter did not change at all, so I know that the filters I got are useless for carwashing where you are trying to remove TDS to prevent water spots. I also tried using this meter on various sources of water including distilled water, Dasani, and tap water and get a different measurement right in the range that I expected each time. It also made me notice that the tap water coming to my house has a large range in TDS depending on when it is tested, but if I test the same cup over and over the TDS stays exactly the same. I say all of that because I was originally thinking that since it was so cheap it would not be accurate, but it behaves exactly as I would expect from each different source so it is definitely doing something, I just don't have access to any high end calibrated equipment to compare it to.Overall I see no reason not to pick it up if you need to get an idea of the TDS in your water.

Claims to test pH but does not
This meter was free as a promotional companion to their Chlorine and pH and salinity test unit which I bought. Both in the green and the blue version, I have the green, clearly state that they test the pH level in the operational specifications tables shown, but there is no indicator in the display, nor is there a calibration solution, nor does the manual describe how to access a pH reading. The temperature was off by 1°F, read low, which I would find acceptable but it’s really hard to use the TDS to emulate the calcium hardness equivalent, so I’m not sure how accurate that component was to compare to my chemical test readings, which have been fairly accurate. So this device reads temperature, EC, and TDS. In other parts of the description, it talks about a triple reader, and at the very top listing, it does not mention PH. However, the description was obviously written by a non-English speaker, and doesn’t translate very well in parts. The operational portion of the manual is reasonably understandable, regardless.Since it was free, I am primarily only upset by the misleading description of the product since it enticed me to buy the other meter. I will do a review of the other meter when it comes in next week to see if standalone wise it’s worth the value.I cannot recommend this product for purchase as a standalone primarily because the description is completely misleading.I would love to hear from the seller to point out if I missing something and would update my review accordingly.

Accurate TDS/EC meter, lacking good instructions
I wanted this TDS/EC meter to use with my hydroponic garden kit. I wanted to be sure my plants were getting the right amounts of nutrients. I have learned that different plants require different ratios of nutrients, and this meter helps to measure electrical conductivity of nutrients. I can also measure the TDS of our drinking water, out of the tap and from our water filter.WHAT I LIKE: This meter is accurate as far as I know. It delivered a reading of 0 milliSievers for distilled water, which is what it should have shown. I was glad for this, as I can be more confident that all the other readings are accurate. It has four different modes -- the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in 500 or 700 parts per million, and the Electric Conductivity (EC) in micro or milliSievers. It also gives a temperature reading of the water tested. It has a "Hold" feature that allows for writing down the results before the reading disappears. The manufacturers have loaded the meter with batteries so it's ready to use, but they have also included 3 extra batteries in the box -- a thoughtful touch.WHAT I DON'T LIKE: The instructions on how to use this meter are lacking, and I had to experiment on my own to see how it worked. I also had to go to a couple of websites to learn what all the symbols meant and how to interpret the readings. It would be so nice if the makers would put a chart on the back of this meter or in the instructions that tells the range of water qualities and the readings that show that. Some other TDS meters do this.
