I actually bought this book to help me with my FA Level 2 coaches badge. That course demands you (the coach) to understand the correct techniques used in football. It really breaks things down to their smallest parts, and I struggled to find a book that would help with this. Until I found this book...It features all the core techniques used in football, giving clear step by step instructions on how to achieve them. There are also drills you can use to help learn them.There are also sections on tactics, as well as fitness. Both are very good, albeit not my primary reason for buying.The whole book is visually impressive with a perfect balance between information and pictures. I'd have no problem recommending this to any youth player looking to learn the game. I suspect even adult players would learn a few things from it too. And of course, I'd give it the nod for any budding FA Level 2 coaches.

There are so many soccer skills books on offer, that it was hard to choose the best for my grand-son. However, I think that this must be one of the best. Every skill is described in detail, increasing in difficulty through the book. There are detailed instructions on how to practice each skill both alone and with a group, or a partner. I would certainly recommend this book.

Very good book which covers pretty much everything. I big failing is that it has no photo’s of girls or women. I would have thought that with the huge growth in womens soccer, Worldwide, and the success of the England womens team. That is a glaring mistake. My niece who I bought it for was not best pleased.

Great for a kid

I bought this for my step grandson and he loves it. It’s easy to read and follow and as well as helping with football it also helps with reading and anything that gets kids reading has to be good news.
