Excellent read and resource for Agile Coaches
I loved this book! There are many books out there on agile coaching, but this had the perfect combination of information, descriptive examples, and unique insights from the writers. The arc of a coaching conversation was easy to understand, and apply. I have an Agile Mindset book club that enjoyed the book so much, we were even inspired to have a few coaching dojos afterwards to refine our skills together. Excellent book.

Great read and really great biding ;-) Seriously, good roadmap for your coaching journey.
I greatly appreciated everything about this book. To me there were multiple areas of focus, be it explicit or implicit. Areas such as Mindset, Pragmatism, Humor, Emotional Intelligence, Coaching Frameworks and Situational Awareness just to mention some.References to Alistair Cockburn, Michael Spayd & Lyssa Adkins and how their efforts can influnce/enhance your journey were perfect. Bob's humbleness of how their contributions can contribute to your development were on target.Providing the example from Mark Summers and role based/context based coaching from Jennifer Fields were very helpful. In addition broaching the subject of SOGI and other areas of awareness from his daughter, Rhiannon greatly enhanced in connecting the content to reality as well as helped in reflection.Ovreall I felt a theme of calmness, deep reflection, service and being humble. I will keep this one on the top of bookshelf for reference. Thank you Bob & Team.

Each member of an agile team or organization has a responsibility to coach. Here is your guide.
Being agile, and by that, I mean having an agile mindset, requires curiosity, courage, a willingness to fail, and, even excitement when realizing you have been able to quickly realize a mistake, learn from it, and redirect.Regardless of your status or role in an organization, you should always aspire to lead, collaborate, coach and mentor. You should be accountable, hold others accountable, and be appreciative rather than defensive when someone holds you accountable. That is a freakin’ “hell yeah”, high-five, “thanks for calling me out and keeping me on track” moment. It’s those moments if you are lucky enough to earn them, that proves there is safety and trust that has been built on this team and…hopefully, within the organization.“Extraordinarily Badass Agile Coaching” is a book that will help you to understand and hone the skills that will help your team and organization create a culture of learning, coaching, and mentoring in all departments and at all levels. It will take time and patience but will pay dividends by developing safety and trust which allows for growth, innovation, and dammit, it just becomes a great place to work. This isn’t a book just for scrummasters, agile coaches or leaders. Every member of an agile organization has the ability, and dare I say responsibility, to lead, coach and mentor. If you are a leader going through that oh so difficult “agile transformation”, read this book!If you are a scrum master emulating the servant leader and agile evangelist you should be, read this book!if you are a PO, PM, BA, PMO, or any other title working in an organization aspiring to be agile, read this book!Walk the talk and be a role model for the change you want to see made. This book is a great guide to help you on that path. Now, go forth and be a BADASS!Storm

Great book!
It is a difficult topic to consolidate in a book format. The authors try to formalize the coach practice. The book provides a coach journey with real situations. This is the most valuable part for me applying the framework described. It provides also significant additional material, games, and references for continuous learning. The additional references (books, articles, videos) are as much valuable as the book itself.

A must have companion for Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters and Delivery Managers
When you're working with leadership and teams in order to embed agile ways of working and set them on a path of continuous improvement, whilst they deliver products that give value to customers, experience matters. Not only your own, but the experience of a seasoned coaches, captured for reference. This is what this book gives you. Robert Galen and contributors to this book have captured their real life coaching experiences to help us put into context the coaching basics as well as the different coaching models. You can see my well thumbed copy of it. I reference it regularly for coaching conversations that I have. The areas for reflection within the book are also great for self assessing your own coaching and improving your practice. Well worth an investment !

Explains agile coaching well
Agile coaching can be hard to understand and takes years to master. It all starts with knowing what agile coaching is. This beeok gives you a great starting point and road map on how to get there. The book is an overview of the various skills you will need but does not dive into any specific area which is perfect as you are left with your own work to do to improve but a clear idea of what is needed.

Wanna be a Badass Agile Coach? Read this!
Highly recommend this very well rounded, thought provoking and throughly researched masterpiece around the art and craft of being an Agile Coach. There’s literally no topic that I can think of that hasn’t been approached or discussed I particularly enjoyed the following components 1.The exploration and application of the Agile Growth Wheel to identify your areas of opportunity and lead you on the path of mastery 2. Role Based coaching and 3. Situational Awareness to consider surrounding SOGI, Neurodiversity, generational awareness and race, culture and ethnicity. No matter where you are at on your agile coach journey or who you coach (teams, scrum masters, product owners, snr leaders) this book is peppered with gold nuggets of feel good wisdom, practical tools & techniques and AHA moments. Thanks Bob!
