Comfortable, good quality headset for videoconferencing
I found this headset comfortable and the quality of the speaker and microphone were both more than acceptable for videoconferencing.I've kept it as a backup. Only because I now use a wireless headset so that I can stand up / move around to avoid sitting for long periods of time while I'm on some of the more lengthy meetings I have to join. The only improvement I would suggest is the buttons to turn up the volume and mute etc are a little small. I've had other headsets in the past where the buttons are bigger and its much easier to find them and push the right button without even looking. It's a minor improvement that could be made, but I still rate this 5 stars.

Decent quality communications headset with very acceptable microphone results
The media could not be loaded. Firstly, it’s important to understand that this isn’t a gaming headset or a set of headphones for audiophiles. The emphasis is on the microphone as opposed to the headphones. The video starts with a demonstration of the actual microphone in action, followed by an unboxing to show you what you get.The positives are that this headset is fine for what it is. The headphones are not great for listening to music or other audio content – they sound tinny and sound leaks in from all directions. This suits its intended purpose – office communications – very well, allowing the user to hear what’s going on around them and the trebley nature of the sound is well-suited to voice communications. The earpieces are very soft and well padded, meaning they are comfortable to wear. The headset itself is not the most robust nor the highest quality I have used. The extendable headband is fine but not great and reminds me of a much older style of headphone. The mic is adjustable up and down but is not on a flexible stalk. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the audio quality of the mic. Listen to the audio on the video and judge for yourself. The cable is around 150cm when fully extended. Pre-set loops in the cable enable it to be extended or retracted to suit your situation, although they are a bit fiddley (a bit like loosening shoelaces). The in-line remote is very useful, simple but controlling the computer’s USB audio settings in the expected way (+ and – adjust headphone volume, mute mutes the mic). For its intended use, this headset is fine. Perhaps a little on the expensive side at £32 for the quality you get, but if you can get these for around £20-25 they will do the job of voice communication well.

Decent headset but uncomfortable
Sound wise, these headset is decent. Low bass is good and the noise cancelling is quite impressive. The microphone feels and sounds good quality. There's been nothing but positive feedback from the work colleagues I talk to using this in meetings. They can hear me with good clarity. It's easy to use and the battery life is good. The only real downside of these in my eyes is that they aren't particularly comfortable to wear over prolonged periods of time. I am talking 2-3 hours plus. After that they can start to feel a little tight and uncomfortable, so I need to take a 30 minute break before they feel good to wear again. Other than that, they are good.

Doesn't work with Raspberry Pi
This is a videoconferencing headset, with dual earphones and boom mic.I tried using it with a Raspberry Pi running Scratch to test the audio. While audio output was fine, the Scratch application refused to use the microphone on the headset, but was fine with the microphone on a USB webcam I also tried. When trying the online version of Scratch, the microphone was recognised but only recorded a series of beeping noises. This headset may work ok with Windows or Mac - I didn't try with those - but it's no use with the Pi.

A very good call centre style of headset with an excellent microphone
This review is for the Arama USB Headset With Microphone for Laptop, Computer Headset with Noise Cancelling & Inline Control, Stereo PC Headphones for Business Call Center Office Home, Works with Softphone Skype Zoom (Black)£31.99 at the time of review. This headset is designed for office type calls, Skype, Discord and so on and is not intended as a gaming headset. It is light, comfortable to wear and doesn’t press on my ears too much but it won’t take a lot of abuse. It has an inline volume control and mute switch which is useful and the USB lead is long at 79” or 200cms.It has Automatic Gain Control (AGC) which makes a huge difference when recording your voice with Audacity, etc. When trying to record my voice with Audacity, I found setting the volume level to 85 gave a better volume to noise ratio than having the level higher or lower. AGC gives a boost when using Skype or Discord, for instance, but boosting the level to 100 is more noticeable. Some experts suggest that using AGC isn’t good practice, but it works for me.Working with Skype and Discord, my voice was clear and easy to hear and the speakers worked well in return. There was no noticeable hiss or hum from the USB connection. You wouldn’t use this to record your voice but using Audacity, you could hear quite a bit of background hum through the USB lead as it picked up noise from my PC – this is a common thing with USB microphones/headsets so nothing unusual here. The audio could be cleaned up to remove the background noise quite easily though if you had no other equipment.I listened to some music with it and it was acceptable enough given it isn’t designed for that. This is a nice headset for calls and it works well, however, it is a bit on the expensive side and you can buy sets that are much less expensive. This is a good one though but the price is holding me back from full marks so 4 stars from me.
