This is quite a nice device that does one job, but does it well.Dongle goes in the PC or laptop, Gatekeeper fob goes on you. You walk away from your machine and it locks, come back and it unlocks.There are enough options to suit most people needs. You have range adjustment, click button or fully automatic.You can have it login straight away when you turn your machine on so you don't have to login through windows and when windows is up and runningthe program just sits in your taskbar doing its job. The interface is very simple and there are not loads of options, but there doesn't need to be, have a look at the image and you will see.A small security device that stops others using you PC / Laptop

The idea is you plug the Bluetooth Dongle into your PC and pair it to the key. When the key is in range of the Bluetooth dongle you can have it unlock your PC, conversely when the key goes out of range (distance can be specified) your PC automatically locks.....GREAT eh?The key paired fine with the dongle, however the GateKepper software icon in my tray showed with an X symbol. Looking further at the software the dongle had no connection with my key as stated hence no signal strength.I tried un-registering the key and re-registering the key to no avail. I also uninstalled the software and re-installed, again the same issues.I'm afraid I'll stick to my passwords, they work!

The Gatekeeper is a great idea, I just wish it worked better. One minute you can walk 5M away from your computer before it locks (what I want) and the next I will be sitting directly! In front of the PC monitor and it locks. Obviously, when that happens I check the battery monitor and it is showing as 'good'. So you end up unclipping the Gatekeeper key from the lanyard and resting it against the dongle, which defeats the whole point of the device if you walk away and forget to take the key with you. The other thing not explained well in the instructions is how long it takes for the Gatekeeper service to start on the PC. When you start your computer, the standard Windows log on prompt displays long before the Gatekeeper service starts, so you are left waiting to access your machine if you want the Gatekeeper protection. It's such a shame, when the Gatekeeper works properly, it's brilliant.

+Idea is perfect.+The keychain is nice and small.- Setting the range is fuzzy- The range is limited, my USB is at the back of my laptop in a dockingstation on my desk and cannot have my keychain in my pocket- It can take 10 seconds to auto logoff / logon- The battery is almost empty (at 25%) after 2-3 weeks use

The lid on the battery cover seems like it's not too safe. the battery is not amazing but is very good apart form that.

I bought this with scepticism as to whether it would actually work having had similar devices before with no such luck. However I can genuinely say I am made up with this device from Untethered Labs. I use this device in work to ensure my computer is locked whenever I walk away from my PC as my PC contains sensitive information which only a few people within the company have access to. The ease of set up was great, simply plug in and download the drivers, set an emergency pin incase you forget your device and you're away. The range stated I can confirm is correct as I tested this and all round this product is great if you need to protect your PC when you are not around.Would seriously recommend!

The media could not be loaded. The Gatekeeper Is A Great Device.It comes well packaged, you get the gatekeeper, a battery, laniard and a laniard attachment. The gatekeeper is a really small bit of kit, all you have to do is plug in the USB attachment in to your pc, download the software from their website and follow the instructions. After that you just walk up to or away from the pc and it will lock and unlock. Simple.

It worked well for a few months but after that the whole casing started to fall apart and would repetedly fall off of my keyring. Do not buy this if you are expecting a long lasting product.
