This review is for the brown curtains. I suspect that the blackout effect will be greatly less with lighter coloured curtains.The material is OK as curtains go, not fantastic, but they were pretty cheap and I guess you don't wear them, so as long as they look OK that is OK in my book. My window faces South so in the bright weather I need to block out light lest I wake up at 5am when the room is lit up. These curtains do a pretty OK job at getting the room darker than it was when I had cream curtains. The blackout effect would have been better if I had my curtain poles mounted higher than they are to prevent light leaking in over the top (my fault, not the curtains). With sunlight on them you can see that the material isn't that thick as there are pinholes of light showing through, but I am happy enough with them.The free tie-backs are just a strip of material with velcro to connect the ends. They don't have anything that can hook onto tie-back hooks, but they do slip over my existing hooks, so no dramas there.The construction is pretty good. Stitching is secure and the curtain hook webbing works as it should with 3 heights for hooks to go into.I am happy with the purchase

Nothing fancy but they do the job well at a good price. I'd say they block out about 80% of the sun which is great, I have no screen glare on my monitors which is always a concern. They're also much lighter than my previous curtain + blackout curtain combo. The material is very soft and nice to the touch.

They do the job and block out light and Di what they say - although GH could hear my son when I wrapped the curtains around him so not 10% sure about noise reducing!! But you get what you pay for a well finished, cheap pair of curtains. Do be warned they are shiny, satin finish but my son doesn't mind that boxer shirt type of look.

I bought a new house and needed some curtains for the front room as we didn’t have any. These were the perfect curtains they are exactly how the description describes them. They are thermal blackout curtains which do not let any light through which was just what I needed and the material used was very high quality. We needed them as soon as possible and the delivery time was very quick with no problems. 5 star seller and 5 star product thank you.

Bought this primarily to block the light from the high intensity street light less than 3 metres from my bedroom window which wakes me up every morning at 5 am when it comes on. Does this effectively.It is not quite so good at blocking bright sunlight, (curtains do not use 3 pass blackout material). There is a very significant reduction in sunlight but not total blackout so may not be suitable for shift workers.Reading other reviews criticising the effectiveness of the lighter coloured curtains I bought the navy curtains which probably helps.On the plus side they seem to be the cheapest available and were delivered within 2 days of ordering.

i bought a pair of these to make blackout curtains for my small camper van. It cost no more than starting from scratch with plain fabric, and saved me time in sewing and money on header tape.The 90” x 72” size was just enough for the whole van, with a little material to spare. I cut one curtain in half to make two curtains for the front, dividing the cab from the back of the van, and cut up the other curtain to make roll-up blinds for the side windows and curtains for the back.I’m really pleased with the results - the blackout qualities are excellent, which is important to me for privacy as I often park up at night in urban areas. Being soft and lightweight, the fabric also drapes nicely and doesn’t take up too much space in the van.All-in-all, a great purchase - as long as they wash well, I’ll be a super-pleased bunny!Delivery was very swift, too.

These curtains were cheap but have a quality feel, reasonable weight, nice colour, hang OK. They are not blackout curtains, they would need to be lined for a totally dark room, but they are good enough.
