The best notebooks out there
I use Moleskin notebooks one per year for my Bullet Journal [...] . It's a great way to keep track of your lists and keep organised. The Squared Notebook is the perfect size as I am able to add a monthly calendar on one page without it being too small and there is enough pages to last me a year with a few pages left over.I buy the hard backed version as I archive these after a year and I find that they are the most durable. The squared paper allows you to keep your lists and tick boxes neat and in column and also helps if you need to draw and plan things out. Paper is the usual Moleskine quality and it has the pocket in the back which I don't tend to use much for this size of notebook. It has the page marker ribbon and the elastic closure and closed a certain way (see pic) it will even hold your pen. This is one of three different Molskine books I have and I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend it

Does everyone really love them? (I do)
So many Moleskines, so many reviews... Why do people get so excited about a notebook? The prices here on Amazon are unbeatable and so that's always a good starting point but you may still think they're expensive despite that. This is a premium product though, it looks and feels expensive. Colleagues glance covetously at it and surely that's enough reason to have one? This squared variety is my second Moleskine (the first was the lined variety) but after living for just a month with this beauty, I already know my third will also be a squared one. There are more 'lines' per page than the, um, lined one and I like the ease with which you can turn the book 90 degrees and the format makes it comfortable to write in a straight line! (By the way - it's a hardback even though some of the reviews say otherwise).I use this to take notes at meetings, to sketch visual interpretations when trying to explain my thinking to colleagues, to draw mind maps and also to capture my thoughts whilst travelling on the train. I carry it around everywhere with me at work and it's part of my 'brand'. I use it every day of the working week and fully expect it to last a whole year, as my last one did (Sept 2010 to Sep 2011).If you haven't had a relationship with a Moleskine before, please jump in and try it. You'll never go back to any other type of notebook.

Perfect notebook, with great history behind it as well!
While still waiting for a perfect pc notebook to arrive (it should be light like netbooks, even lighter, yet be fast and fully functional, at least for basic office-on-the-go tasks and video - hope that my wait will be over soon) I still prefer to use an old-fashioned way to make notes, i.e. with pen and paper.I have found my perfect pen long ago (Uni-Ball Micro Deluxe UB155 Rollerball (Blue, Pack of 5 Pens)) but notbooks I used before ( Pukka A4 Jotta Metallic Squared ) were OK, but nothing more. When I needed a new one, I decided to make some research, so I found Molskine.WOW.No, seriously. If you appreciate the joy of hand-writing you'll immediately understand what I mean. The quality of the paper, cover, bondings, everything, is impeccable. There is a nice bit of history attached to it as well, although it is not the same company that made the original Moleskines used by Hemingway and others, I am happy that someone did a great job is recreating such beautiful products.I have bought 2, A5 and pocket size variants, both are perfect, each for it's own purpose. You will not be disappointed to get one.

Moleskine has become my notebook of choice. Great product.
This is my perfect notebook.Wanted to buy a notebook and took my time to go through Amazon reviews about different products, then settled on the Moleskine brand. Not dissappointed!Pros:- Size. This size which unfolds to a square is perfect for me as other reviewers also found. You can write on one page or over both and for images, diagrams, flowcharts I find it perfect to use to full square.- Paper quality is very good. You can really use every paper, the ink dries quickly, feels sturdy and good quality.- Overall design. Really good design: The texture of the book, the different features including the envelope pocket at the end. Cool.Cons:Only con would be that this item is a bit pricey, but I find that the money is very well spent. Have decided to buy only Moleskine notebooks from now on.

Ever reliable notebook, with squared paper
I love moleskin notebooks. They are expensive compared to other alternatives, but I think it's worth it. They keep extremely well. This one is replacing my old full notebook which I carried around everywhere for 12 months, and it's still perfectly intact, the binding is still fine, and notes are protected by the good quality hardback cover. I love the fact that it opens flat easily. I tired red and black notebooks before, and found it was awkward to keep the book open when taking notes - not the case here. The squared paper is my favourite too, ideal for making quick diagrams and writing text too.

Sturdy, good quality paper, great for quick sketches
I got the squared paper to draw things like logos and typography (since that requires a lot of symmetry). The notebook is sturdy and the paper is good quality as it doesn’t tear or stain when I erase things. Overall I think this was a great purchase and good value for the price.

high quality perfection
After falling in love with my Moleskine planner-like notebook, I decided to try the squared/dotted versions, and I’m so glad I did! This book just stands out, and it’s quickly become another favorite of mine. I never knew Moleskine could be this good—after picking up my first planner-style book at Walmart, I knew I had to explore more! The squared pages are fantastic for both journaling and organizing my thoughts. The soft texture of the pages makes writing a delight, and I love how the squares help me align my ideas neatly. It feels like I’m holding my perfect dream book once again! This notebook has been a great companion for my creative process, and I love how versatile it is. Whether I'm jotting down ideas or sketching, it’s truly a joy to use. If you’re considering a Moleskine, definitely give the squared version a try—you won’t be disappointed!

Very nice!
Yes, it's an expensive notebook with hipster connotations. That said, I still kinda wanted one after reading about these somewhere on the internets but couldn't pull the trigger since the unlined version is not nearly OCD enough for me (way too free form) and the lined version reminds me of the lined paper I had to use in public school, and who wants to remember that waste of 13 years of life you'll never get back?I found the grid version accidentally on Amazon and be still my beating heart! GRID SQUARES?! In a durable notebook that looks more like pointy nose literature you could use to chat up dirty blonde clod-shod nurses wearing hot librarian glasses at the hospital cafeteria (well, assuming you had a black Lab puppy with you or something I guess, I have no game and will die alone) or the secret operating manual for a nuclear missile silo? And it doesn't make you look like you're going back for your GED at 30 if people see you carrying it to the truck or see it sitting on your desk at work? I was hooked. These things are better than crack, they should just give the first one away free and you'll be lining up for more at any price. I discovered it's a very high quality tool that's worth paying a premium for and wished I'd had these a long time ago.Let me break it down for you: I'm an engineer and while going through the four year long, sleep deprived, 80-hour week, repetitive kick in the b@%$# that is engineering school they make you (yes, MAKE you!) do all your homework on this special grid paper called, crazily enough, engineering paper that costs a fortune and ensures that you'll never be dating while hauling a huge tablet of nerd paper and huge calculator though the library at 10:00 PM still attempting poorly to finish all your horrific calculus/thermo/fluid mechanics/sediment transport homework after staying up playing WOW all night. If you were smart enough not to go to engineering school and never had to use the stuff, Amazon probably sells it if you're bored enough to want to see what it looks like (edit: I looked, they do, neat!). Engineering school and engineering paper trains you to write and draw in these little squares and makes everything look all nice and stuff when you review it later. Or not. Either way it's an essential piece of engineer equipment. To this day at work I write everything on grid paper at work and at home as a result. In engineering and surveying we have these things called field books (Amazon sells these too, can life get any better?) but they're not something I'd want to use every day, don't feel real good and work too well since they're kinda small and not suited for people who write big as I do and write a lot with a jubilee of pens. I've always wanted a smaller version of engineering paper (not 8.5 x 11, in other words) for drawing and writing somewhat neatly and organized as we engineers were forced to do in college. Something bound, something tough enough to survive life on the road and in the field making the mediocre bucks, something cooler looking than a giganto fresh tablet of green engineering paper that reminds me of wasting my youth and hair in engineering school when I should've been doing something different (engineering school will still be there when you're 30, kids...).This is it, sports fans. If you're an engineer this bad boy will be close to your heart. If you're not, it will make you OCD and cause you to print in all caps in small squares and draw lots of pictures. Or not. Either way this is a great piece of kit if you need to draw nice engineering style pics and like lots of lines to show you the way while writing important stuff.
