Semi-rigid for high protection, and goes on bubble-free
Slightly different concept with this screen protector. It's a thick plastic which does bend but it's significantly thicker than any screen protector film you've likely tried before. It isn't a rigid glass sheet either. Clean the screen and peel off the backing, then drop it down slowly (trying to get it straight). Seems to bond without bubbles. The instruction manual says you press down firmly just on the black borders of the screen and never apply pressure to the centre as if you do, you may get interference patterns forming with the screen. If you do, just peel it up and try again. Has a sort of tacky/liquid adhesive which just seems to go on and come off very cleanly, yet flows as the screen and protector come together. They do warn the protector is a "one size fits all" and on my a6000 it's about 0.25mm to 0.5mm too small all the way round to completely cover the screen, but presumably on other cameras in the 6xxx range its exactly the right size. Doesn't bother me in the slightest and if you get it on straight, you can't even see that tiny border - it just looks like the original screen complete with the "SONY" branding at the bottom. If you don't get it straight you can peel it up and have another go - doesn't seem to effect the adhesive at all. I can well believe this will protect the screen from fairly significant impacts even with sharp objects - such as dropping your camera screen-side down into gravel for example, or inadvertently banging the screen with the end of a tripod... Glad I chose this protector and I tend to stick with OE bits and pieces where I can.

It protects the screen, but it's an odd one
If you're after a screen protector that merges with the back of your camera perfectly, then this is the one to go for. When applied carefully it can be fitted to exactly cover the Sony logo and black edges of the screen. It's a strange protector though as the adhesive is solely on the edges, meaning there's a small gap between the protector surface and the surface of the screen. In hotter or damper climates, when travelling for example, I can imagine bubbles of moisture collecting underneath. This doesn't affect the touch screen though, so I'm not too fusses at this time. How long it lasts I'm not sure, and I don't expect it to protect my screen from much other than light scratches.

Very easy to apply
Used on my A6400 and it fitted perfectly. Very quick and easy to install. Doesn't appear to interfere with the touch screen.I can hardly tell it's there.

Easy to fit and does the job.
I have this fitted to my new Sony A6400's screen and it works fine. Too early to tell how well it performs but all reviews I've seen are positive and after the anti-glare coating on my NEX-6's screen became crackly after many years, I decided that fitting one of these would be a no-brainer for my new camera.

Essential purchase, and really good quality
I think this product is near-essential, because it will be just a matter of time before that nice high-res LCD on the A6300 ends up with myriad surface scratches on it. This screen protector is really easy to fit, it doesn't bubble up because it actually just has adhesive on the black frame part, and the clear part of it sits a fraction of a millimetre above the surface of the LCD.It is easy to fit by eye without it looking wonky - it fitted straight first time. Also, you cannot tell afterwards that a screen protector has been applied. It totally blends in and looks like the camera came like that. When it does get scuffed one day, then I'll carefully remove it, wipe off any adhesive with nothing stronger than isopropanol wipe hopefully, and then attach another one. Anyway my usual practice is to place the camera wrapped in some cloth before it is placed in a camera bag (I might replace my current cloth with a 'Domke wrap') so I don't intend to scratch the camera too much if I can help it!

Worked on my Sony a6500
I bought this protector for my Sony a6500. While not recommended by Sony customer support (so please keep this in mind - I am simply providing my experience and do not provide any recommendation here), this did work for me. The protector sticks to the screen only along the black frames. The application was easy and simple - if you do not get it right the first time, just lift it carefully and re-apply it to the screen. The substance used to stick to the screen seems strong and still worked when transferred from one Sony a6500 to another. I did not notice any visibility issues due to the additional layer. If this review was helpful, please click the button below.

A bit expensive, but much better than a thin film with air bubbles!
Bought to protect the screen on my newly purchased Sony A6000. It is a pity Sony don't just include one of these with the new camera, as judging from the way the camera guide mentions that simple things like hand cream could damage the surface of the screen I would recommend this protective cover to anyone. In use I found it is better than the screen for wiping clean and blends in so well with the camera that you don't really notice it. When fitting it I recommend lining it up a couple of times before taking off the sticky side backing cover, so you know exactly where to place the first corner.A little expensive, but it is a great fit and does a much better job than any mobile phone screen protection I have used.
