Timex Originals Men's Oversized 42 mm Watch

Bought it as a second watch (my first being an all stainless steel design) and it has quickly become my favourite!The watch is very light, the strap wears in perfectly, the colour of the strap I much more of an orangey/tan colour, which is what I was looking for, but the picture makes it appear much paler than it actually is. The colour wears within a few weeks of everyday use to a more subdued brown that makes it appear that the band is older than it is. Personally this is a massive plus for me, I much prefer a worn in look. The glass is strong and seemingly difficult to scratch. The face is reasonably large but not hideously so, looking perfectly fine on my slightly smaller wrists.The Indiglo back light is very useful in the dark illuminating the entire face of the watch.All round its a very well constructed, light watch.A word to the wise however, it does have a rather loud tick, so if you work some where quiet like a library or a morgue you should take this into account. For me this isn't a problem just something i have become aware of.Delivered fast, with no fuss! Great Watch!

Of the over 50 watches I have, in a pinch, I would keep my Timex watches.This black watch is similar to my Movado bold black face and the Citizen black face my daughter has.I kind of prefer this Timex black face with the red second hand. I especially love the back light that most black face watches do not have.Moreso, the back light is much better than an older classic timex I have with white numbers and a black backround.With a good quality leather strap and a very affordable price, you should be very happy with this watch.Lastly, I have thin dress watches, medium size watches and large heavy watches like my Nixon black face with white markings.In time, I now realise that this Timex is just about the right size and weight; I can forget I am wearing it.

Love the watch, Looks very stylish and has a great amount of sizing options on the strap - I have 14cm wrists and yet there are still 3 spare holes if my wrists were smaller! My only complain is the second hand is quite loud, something that is irritating while trying to sleep but can easily be sorted by simply moving it out of the room. Overall a great product for the price and I would highly recommend it!

I've only had it a couple of months and not only it works very well, but it makes a bold statement: very big and black it's certainly striking!

I'm not sure if I can really add anything to what the other reviewers have said,but my watch just arrived and it really does look good.I read the other reviews and took ages to choose a watch that I liked the look of and although its early days, I'm really pleased, its very clear and easy to see,and the strap colour is lovely.The delivery was brilliant as well,I was told it would take a week to arrive but it took just 3 days, mine is actually a birthday present that I picked for myself, and its a month early, but its not going back in its box now, its staying firmly on my wrist.Very pleased with my purchase. I have just purchased another of these watches 4 years after buying the first it had started to go wrong and to be honest at the price I wasn't going to mess and I still really like the watch I looked at other makes but this one is still my favourite, I am a little disappointed it didn't last longer but then again 4 years isn't bad and conveniently its gone wrong just before my birthday so that's my present sorted again.

This is a great watch which is easy to read for the vision challenged and very stylish. For the money it costs you can't beat it. The leather strap has a real quality feel to it and the colour combinations work really well. Looks great on your wrist especially if you have a sun tan.The indiglo backlight should be enough reason for anyone to buy a Timex watch. This should be a standard feature on all watches but I doubt Timex would allow this. The glow is bright enough to light up the immediate surrounding area and enables you to view the time as easily as you would in broad daylight. No more squinting of tired eyes trying to make out luminous hands when you're half asleep for me.

Nice watch but came wrapped in bubble wrap..No box or instructions.Was for a gift so bit strange not to be in a box.

Well, the first one I received didn't work, so that wasn't a great start. The replacement lost over 1 1/2 mins in the first 3 days, but since then has only lost about a second in the next 3 days so hopefully all is well now.I like the look of it, it is a very large but tasteful clock face and the light works well. The tick is quite loud for a watch, but I expected that as it is replacing a fairly similar timex watch.
