OVER EDITED AND RUINED
THIS IS THE HEAVILY CUT VERSIONS.I loved the HHOH series back in the 70s and 80s, they were classy, great acting and interesting, so I bought this boxset from amazon and started watching it last week, I was shocked at how much editing it had, I mean literally masses of scare are "Gone",I won't put spoilers on here but anyone who can remember the original series will know exactly what I mean, how have they been allowed to cut so much from each one?I'll sell this and look for the unedited version cause this is terrible.

Creepy
I remeber watching these on a re-run in the mid-eighties.I must have been 11 or 12.There was one episode in particular that made me s**t myself, the one where the stranger is not who he seems to be ("The Two Faces of Evil").Some of the others are a bit hit and miss but for £20 on Blu Ray they are well worth owning.

A truly competent remaster of a classic series
Just fantastic quality. Some of the scripts and storylines leave a bit to be desired but this disc is worth it for “The Silent Scream” (featuring Peter Cushing and a very young Brian Cox - not THAT one!!) and “The House That Bled To Death” alone. The remaster from the original 35mm negs is fantastic and makes the whole programme look strangely like it was made today in a retro style. I love it and am very happy to have these classic TV horrors in proper HD quality. If you are looking for similar, check out the similarly (maybe even slightly better) remastered “Professionals” from the same era. These are in Blu-ray as well as Amazon Prime video and look unbelievably good compared the the grainy, muddy old rubbish that ITV 2/3/4 are still showing

Excellent Hammer TV Series
This wonderful TV series continues the tradition of Hammer Horror. The 13 episodes seem like mini-movies rather than TV programs. The Blu-ray transfers are all top notch and they have never looked better. As for extras, the widescreen Guardian of the Abyss episode was a welcome surprise. Highly recommended if you are a fan of Hammer or horror movies in general.

Great Hammer house of horror 2 disc set
I seen only a few of these on nowtv. After looking at the amount of stories on the disc, I decided to buy this to go with my amazon bought "The house that dripped blood" blueray. Being in the vehicle trade as well in those days. Its amazing nostalgia to see those 1970 cars. One episode I never seen before really was creepy, The thirteen reunion. The great late Denholm Elliot never fails to deliver a captivating character. 14 episodes to go yet, very good quality and sound. Many hours of entertainment for £20 recommended buy 😄update :who recognised Titles: Hammer House of Horror, Carpathian EaglePeople: Pierce Brosnan in this, being the "Last Victim"!! wow!!!

Hammer House Series does work on UK bluray players. Doesn't play full screen.
The information on this bluray is false. The Hammer House Series, which does not play full Screen, as it states its full screen on the cover, but doesn't. These Episodes were in full screen originally. Picture and sound clear. I tried opening picture size with menus but to no avail. These so called technicians that clean bluray and Dvds need to back to School. Fed up with being robbed through false Advertising!!! I'm peeved!!! M, J, B
