Just as good as SN100C solder for hand soldering.
I'm a solder snob. Since deciding to be responsible and making the switch to RoHS materials, I've sworn by AIM Solder's SN100C, which is Nihon Superior's original and proprietary blend of tin-copper-nickel and germanium. It's a blend that's eutectic, meaning it melts and freezes at the same temperature, avoiding an awkward transition period. This Weller solder's just as good for through hole hand soldering. I was expecting Weller's Tin 99.3, Copper 0.7 alloy to be a bit more difficult to work with without the germanium and nickel, but that's not the case: it seems to flow at about the same temperature and is equally easy to work with.To be fair, the supposed effects of the germanium addition in SN100C would be most apparent when preventing bridging on small, fine pitched components; I don't tend to do that sort of soldering by hand, preferring to contract out SMT assembly for fine pitched packages. Most of my soldering is adding through hole components to boards that are pre-assembled or doing small rework tasks, and for those, this Weller solder is just as good.Make sure to use a quality, temperature controlled soldering iron, and to run your iron at a slightly elevated temperature if this is your first time working with lead free solder. We're fortunate that enough time has passed since the RoHS transition that lots of good solder options are available. This one is very close to the excellent performance of SN100C and much more widely available, and I recommend it thoroughly.

I'm amazed
I probably last tried lead free solder about 10 years ago. The opinion I carried with me ever since was that it was impossible to hand solder. I remember 1) having to put so much heat in and 2) that it just didn't flow well. Well, not this stuff... if I didn't know better, I would have never guessed that it was lead free. Didn't have to crank the temperature up and it flowed like butter.

For solder joints that have to endure abusive environments.
If you service electrical equipment, that’s subject to vibration or other adverse effects, you need this solder. Unlike the older Rosin core solder we have all used and sworn by, connections made with this solder will not fracture causing cold solder joints and all kinds of troubleshooting problems This solder is a lot more expensive than Rosin Core solder but what it saves me in time and money in callbacks make the added cost worth it to me. I have a lot of Rosin Core solder in the shop and I will continue to use it in repairing home entertainment products, but commercial and industrial work, this is the only solder I will use from now on.

Reliable Lad Free Solder
This is just over 1lb of high-quality solder. The cost is greater than the more common rosin flux core, but you are getting a product that flows well at lower temps and produces solid and reliable joints. The alloy and continuous flux core produce a good bond to most surfaces and the 0.8mm diameter is my preferred size for flexibility.Another great product from Weller, and I will be using it exclusively going forward.

Lead Free Solder Wire
As a mild manner software engineer during the day, I have recently decided to expand the breadth of my nerdiness with hardware, specifically IoT, by using Rasberry Pi and Arduino. Consequently, to create custom components, you cannot avoid having to use solder.I've been using Weller products since the early 90's because my father was a welder and would always bring home Weller guns. That being said, this spool of solder is great for component use due to its thickness. So if you're looking to solder wires, I recommend going much thicker than this. Other than that, it's a Weller product which means, in my opinion, you are using a superior brand. I'm happy with it and recommend it.

Good solder
This solder worked as expected. It has a good amount of flux and I had no issues getting a good adhesion to uncleaned coper. It is consistent feed with no pitting. No issues using on circuit boards either, however it did get a little patchy tinning resistor leads. I would buy again. While this is a review of a free or reduced price product, it is an honest review of the product, no different than if I purchased the item at full price.

Stand up lead free solder.
Quality solder as expected from the Weller brand. The 1.2mm diameter is great for larger scale solder work. As far as lead free solder goes, this is pretty much as good as you can get. It has good wetting properties and works well at around 400c-450c with my irons. This is a 99% tin based solder, with a small amount of copper mixed in for conductivity.Solder joints are strong and reliable. Good general purpose solder for when you don't need something with eutectic properties. This is a behemoth of a roll, with 500g being enough to last me quite a while. Any serious tinkerer or hobby level enthusiast will be well served by this solder. RECOMMENDED. Stand up lead free solder.

Pricey but good
Good product from one of the industry leaders, alot better than the cheap lead free solder that's frustrating to use and gives lead free solder a bad reputation. This stuff works, it's wellers it's not cheap but not frustrating garbage.
