All around excellent computer, fast, well built, stable.
My wife had a Surface Pro 3 from 2014 which was still working well, but could not be upgraded any more and will not be supported much longer. I bought this Surface Pro 9 as a gift, and it is solid, fast, and great to use.Configuration is Core i7 256gb SSD 16gb RAM. This much RAM is the sweet spot using Windows 11, and this computer is MUCH faster than her old surface.I did not buy the pen because she never used it with her old computer, but I did buy the Signature keyboard (bought from Microsoft since Amazon didn't have it in the matching color) because it definitely is solid and types well. But those who really type strongly might prefer to use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse from Logitech like the MK270, which is excellent. The USB-C / Thunderbolt connection works excellent for a hub in order to connect to ethernet and an extra monitor, although I don't care for the high location on the side of the computer - if you want to use the Surface standing up with a second monitor, a right-angle cable helps, search on Amazon for "Thunderbolt Cable Right Angle."I tested using my Thunderbolt hub, and the video is fast and solid looking. But my wife uses it just as a tablet and table top computer, so she doesn't need the extra connections.

: Excellent Upgrade for Both Home and Travel!
This is my 2nd Microsoft Surface Pro, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The Intel 12th Gen i7 processor and 16GB RAM make multitasking a breeze, whether I’m working from home or on the go. I use it every day, and it handles everything from business tasks to personal browsing effortlessly. At home, it pairs perfectly with my monitor for a desktop-like experience, and when I travel, the thin and lightweight design makes it incredibly portable. The 256GB storage is plenty for all my needs. If you’re looking for a versatile, high-performance device for both work and travel, this is it!

My Wife loves hers!
Purchased this for my wife for Christmas and she loves it and takes it everywhere with her. She is pretty tough on her things so I have to assume that it is durable.

Automatic setting on battery status
I do love my new tablet as I have had a Surface tablet since 2016. I guess I didn't read the fine print and had to figure out why it only charged to 80%. No windows Icon in the corner, its on the taskbar and the on/off button is on the screen pulled up. So it's different, faster and nice once you get used to it.

Great For Musicians
Very Microsoft compatible. My set-up uses MobileSheets, Meta Pen 3 and a Donner page turner. No real problems and way cheaper and easier than using IOS compatible stuff. And I love it that MobileSheets comes with a 184-page .pdf user guide that's always easily accessible on the tablet.

This is a piece of junk!
It was defective from day one. Oh wait, nowhere does this say it's a refurbished computer. When I pay $1500 for a computer I expect it to be brand new. Way to LIE Amazon.Took three days and a call to Microsoft to be able to even set it up. Then it seemed to work okay, but there was nothing professional about it. They keyboard is awful and the keys stick. Then it turned off my speakers and audio on a day I was supposed to have a podcast. I did the podcast from my phone. In an effort to fix it one Microsoft geek had me remove the drivers. He believed if I shut it down and restarted it the drivers would come back. Nope. He transferred me to someone who could help. Brad would have loved to help, but he works in accounting. He transfers me to Ken. Ken and I get disconnected from chat and I can't get him back. I end up with Emilio who gets me sound. I have sound for all of a week and the my sound is off. Next guy, tells me we have to set it back to factory settings and he wants to do it now. Ain't no way. I run two businesses off this computer, not losing all I have built over the years. Not the starts to books I want to write. I buy an external hard drive and get Microsoft on the phone to try one more time to save my computer. This young man tried everything. He apologized because we were going to have to set it back to factory settings. It took a week to get everything onto an external hard drive. So, I call to get assistance resetting the computer and the gal who answers says oh we don't want to set it back to factory settings. I told her yes we do, I am losing business. It's either that your you send me a new one. She helpped me to shut it down ot factory settings. Then I could begin to load things onto it again. I started with just the essenials. Here we are now. The computer has once again turned off audio and speakers. I finally got them up and running and this past Monday the computer would not turn on. So, I put in a call to Microsoft. They called while I was at my doctor's appointment. This is junk and Microsoft when told I would be invoicing them for time lost from work at my hourly rate of $400/hr would get them into trouble with their bosses. But they are going to be billed for 8 hours. They are now going to send me a replacement. I will send this one back for them to work on some more. Good luck duds.
