The Bettersleep Company Brand Waterproof Quilted Microfibre Mattress Protector - Hotel Quality Anti Dustmite, Waterproof, Absorbent, Breathable & Fully Fitted - Double

This mattress protector is not at all what I would expect from 'hotel quality'. It had very light use on our spare bed, and after only the second or third wash, on its own in our very good washing machine, following the wash instructions exactly, the backing started to split - see photos.Bettersleep could not have been less interested in remedying the problem. I would never deal with this company again, and will buy a replacement from John Lewis, whose mattress protectors have lasted for years and washed very well.Save yourselves - buy something else!

I've had this matress protector for about 2 months and the other day I noticed the mattress was all wet after my daughter had wet the bed. I noticed several rips in it and would definitely not recommend it. It's only been washed a few times so money wasted.

Was waterproof for first use but after washing, following care label it was no longer waterproof. Waste of time!

I bought six items from this company, consisting of double and single mattress and pillow protectors, because our toddler suffers from nosebleeds which are usually at night and I wanted to save all our mattresses and pillows further and have spares for all the midnight washing I end up with. I was initially delighted with the products because they were waterproof without feeling like it and even held water in the washing machine when I washed them before use. However on the second wash with only cloth baby wipes in with it (think a few tiny soft flannels) one split so so badly everywhere on the backing. I never complain but it was in dreadful condition like it must have been faulty so I contacted the company selling it through Amazon with a photo. They said it must have had something in with it to cause snagging even though I had washed it as per instructions practically alone and gave no advice, apology, replacement or taking of responsibility at all. For this reason I am unable to recommend the seller or their products. I'm worried to wash any of the items now because it's not caused by the machine or anything in there and also wonder what the missing material is doing to my expensive washing machine. Unfortunately I had to select 1/5 stars to submit the review but it's not fit for purpose so doesn't really qualify for even that.

No stars. Failed immediately. Mattress wet after first pee accident of my son. Only had it a few weeks, only been washed once (following care instructions)...and it DOES rustle. I'll be asking for a refund.

Just received today. Product has clearly already been opened. It has a large stain on it.

This is not waterproof at all as is advertised. I spilled a small amount from a cup of tea and now have a lovely brown stain on my new mattress.

Washed for first time in washing machine and the waterproof lining has holes.
