Works great for power delivery, which is the only reason I bought it. I don't really care if data transfer speeds are slow.I'm using this for my S8+ and Nintendo Switch. * I only use this cable to charge devices - it is not a full bandwidth cable for data/video *I needed a charger cable that could apply enough juice to quick charge my phone or tablet in my car. I have a couple of USB C 3.1 gen 2 cables, but they are too expensive to buy 2 extras and I needed them for data transfers and such. This cable was a drop-in charging cable for a fraction of the cost. I never intend to use it for data or video transfers so the limitations don't apply in my case. I have actually stopped charging my phone at night because my 9-12 minute commute is enough time to charge a good portion of the battery in my car with a 2.4 W outlet.The cable has a satisfying weight to it and the connectors and strain relief look solid. The connectors fit perfectly and can actually hold my phone's weight without disconnecting if I dangle it, but disconnect as soon as I tug on it purposefully. This was exactly what I wanted in charging cable. I am very satisfied.

Had this cable charging a phone at bedside. There was an intermittency which I attributed to the cable - later found out the extension cord my charger was plugged into was faulty. Nothing wrong with the cable. Working well after 3 months. Apologies to the vendor for the mistaken negative review.

Update: I've had the cable for all of 2 months and now, not only will it not stay in any slot it is plugged into, you have to fight to get it in at all. This thing really isn't worth it. At all.I was on the hunt for a long usb-c to usb-c cable to charge my laptop and other devices with and this cable seemed to fit the bill. I couldn't find much else that ticked all of the boxes. It's a nice cable for the most part, delivers a lot of power, feels sturdy enough... But it does not want to stay plugged into my laptop. Even the slightest movement causes it to come loose. It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know how long I'll be sticking with the cable before trying something else.

I bought this cable due to the Wirecutter recommending the Cable Matters brand. it worked well charging all my devices for about a year or so, but it broke after a bit over a year of use. I guess nothing lasts forever, but I have Anker cables that have lasted much longer. Might stick with the Anker brand.

Good price for a well made charging cable, that can feed devices (like pro laptops) up to 100W of power. If it could also transmit data at USB 3.1 speeds, I'd give it 5 stars. I'm in no way complaining; it delivers everything it promised!

This usb c is very well made and honestly the best usb I’ve purchased here or anywhere.

Used this for months in the car. Cable ends well made and seem to hold up well. Definitely consider it if you need a good second cable.
