This is exactly what I needed for my iPhone when in my office where phone reception was poor. I got a Ethernet cable and this little device and I plug right into the internet! It also has a lightning port for the charger. I suggest you use it because surfing the web can really tax the battery. This was a fantastic buy.

Set the iPhone 14 to airplane mode. Plugged in the adapter and connected to RJ45 Ethernet cable. Internet worked perfectly on the phone. You can use this for large downloads to the phone to download quickly and avoid using data on a wireless plan. Most people will not use this very often but it is nice to have in some cases.

Connection was never consistent (often had to plug and replug multiple times), and stopped working altogether after a few months

I think I’ve bought about six of these adapters, and they work great out of the box, but after a few weeks to a few months, they start glitching and eventually the lightning part breaks. I am trying to find something that is higher quality, but am still searching!

Don't really like wi-fi so purchased this for my ipad air 2. I did run into an issue where I didn't see 'Ethernet' in settings. The following solved my connection issue:1. Turn off airplane mode.2. Turn off Wi-Fi.3. Turn off Bluetooth4. Shut down iPad.5. Connect lightning ethernet cable to the iPad.6. Connect ethernet cable to the lightning ethernet port.7. Connect an ethernet cable to either a router ethernet port or to a port of an ethernet switch.8. Turn on the iPad. 'Ethernet' should then show in Settings.Hope this helps.

I purchased this to use with an enet cable to program my BMW using Bimmercode. I have an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.2. I plugged the adapter in and my phone automatically saw the adapter. There was a new menu called "Ethernet" under "Settings". I did find, however, that I needed to put the phone in airplane mode to make Bimmercode work, presumably because it's trying to connect over Wifi instead of the ethernet connection.All in all this worked perfectly for what I needed to do.

This product works great with my iPhone or iPad to link into the Verizon Gateway when it needs a reset. Our old laptop bit the dust and our new laptop does not come with an Ethernet port. No issues with this product thus far.

Quickly looses its ability to connect the device to the internet. I have to often unplug and plug it in again to make the connection work.
