A unique, clever coming of age story
Art comes in many forms. Whether words or drawings or sculpture, it is one thing that helps us remember the past. To remember when everything seemed possible. Two lonely, insecure teens meet at the local pool and strike up a friendship. They have several things in common: they both love art (one is a writer, one a drawer), both are awkward and have few friends. Both teens’ fathers have left their mothers for another woman, they each have struggled with this loss, as have their mothers, both wish that they could do something to get them selves noticed.Together they decide to create a poster which will remain anonymous, although it will make them famous - if only to one another. They will post it all over town just for the fun of watching people wonder. Things take a turn for the worse when 2 young teens use the poster as an excuse for being home late from a party. Then the poster takes on a life of its own. Is it Satanic? Does it have a secret message? Is it about drugs, violence, sex? This is a unusual, well-written coming-of-age story of two oddball teens who fill their summer days with a unique bonding experience that will forever be their secret and forever be a part of their lives.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Author Kevin Wilson tells us that when he was a freshman in college he had a boring job (didn’t we all?) transferring documents to digital. To spice up his job he would, occasionally, intersperse a random phrase into his document. Be sure to listen to the entire Audio Note from the author.

we are fugitives with the illure illusion that nothing has changed
This book has touched me as it took me back to my adolescence ages and reminded me how we held on to the person we were as we became someone else…

a good read about a small town and being young
I thought the dynamics between the two young people was interesting and felt like a small town. Seeing them grow up shed a different light maybe a little unexpected.

very unusual
A really strange concept that turned into a really good book. An author unknown to me but not anymore. Great

We are all fugitives
I did not like this book at first but enjoyed it after part 2. The writing style and quotes throughout the book are well thought out and beautiful. This book is a journey from adolescence to adulthood and how they relate.

Not a great read
The book wasn’t developed well- point us mute and story circulated back to main event, but to what end?

Zany
Zany novel about two teenagers whose action escalates. The narrative zips along in a thought provoking way.
