Came out great!
Like other reviews have mentioned, the instructions aren't the greatest as they don't mention the amount of apples to use. I cut up 6 granny Smith apples, and seasoned them with sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and a touch of flour. I used 1.5 cups of this mix with the butter (added a touch more cinnamon) and topped my apples with it. Came out great! The ratio of the crisp to apples was perfect.

What Should Be A Crisp And Crunchy Topping Turned Out To Be Mushy, Sandy, And Disappointing
Farin'Up Apple Crumble Mix sounds like it would be an ideal product to have on hand to be able to make a homemade dessert quickly and effortlessly. I will emphasize the words, "sounds like." The 16oz bag has a resealable spout which makes it easy to pour out the desired amount of product. Simply mix 1/4 cup of soft butter and 1 cup of mix for five minutes and top sliced apples. There is no specified or recommended amount of apples so I went with 3 peeled and sliced apples. After mixing the butter with the mix for the instructed time, I didn't have a good feeling as the final product looked too dry and there was mix that looked like it did when I initially poured it out of the bag. In hindsight, I should have followed my gut and added more butter but I trusted that the manufacturer would not let me down. I baked it in the oven for 35 minutes as instructed. The topping is nothing like the apple crumbles I had previously tasted and enjoyed. It was mushy, sandy, and only where the minimal amounts of butter were located were there faint specks of crispiness. The mix includes dried apples which burned after the bake as they did not reconstitute at all. The sliced apples were tender and delicious because they were delicious to begin with not because it received any form of help of this mix. The ingredients are clean and recognizable which include wheat flour, cane sugar, 4% dried apple, and spices. The manufacturer noted that the product was prepared and packaged using equipment that may come in contact with milk, soy, tree nuts, and sesame. If you have an allergy to any or all of these ingredients, please be aware. It is a Product of Luxembourg. I hope the manufacturers revisit their measurements as I think this product could be successful with the addition of at minimum double the butter perhaps even triple the amount. I will note that I could tinker with the measurements to find success but let's be honest. It isn't my place to find the solution. I should be able to follow the instructions as is and find a successful cooked dish at the end of the process. A crumble should be crunchy, crispy, and a deep rich brown color. This looked nothing like what an apple crumble should look like. Since the dried apples in the mix were already burnt, I could not add more time to the cooking process. I ended up scrapping the mix off so my family could at least enjoy the baked apples. I am incredibly disappointed in the results from this mix and recommend you save your money, time, effort, and especially apples and avoid this mix.

Apple crumble in less than an hour!
This apple crumble mix was great, considering it was ready in less than an hour. Warm and toasty, it was delicious. I also noticed it had hints of cinnamon here and there. It was the perfect snack to keep me going at work!

Mixed feelings.
I made up a batch of 1 cup of this, not knowing how much I'd need. It looked to be too little for baking in anything reasonably sized for my family of 5. I ended up using the whole bag, which only had 3 cups and a smidge more, not the 4 cups it is supposed to, but that could be because it would leak out powder whenever it was moved. The directions do not say how many apples to do with each cup so I ended up with too much crumble and very little apple when it was done. The bites that have both crumble and apple are less sweet as it didn't sufficiently sweeten the apples, but the crumble only bites were sweet and reminded me of eating a cookie. It turned out decent enough, but it needs better directions instead of just a photo, and a way to make it more leak proof.

Was hoping for better
We bake a lot and apple crumble is a favorite here. This was not. We like a crispy topping to go with the cooked apple and this just had the wrong texture. It also was soooooo sweet. I regret the waste of two good apples.

Great Tasting
Freshness - Dated August 2023Come in a bag with only a screw top which is sealed upon arrival. There is a tear strip across the top to make it easier to get the mix out but it's not resealable if you do open the bag that way.Packaging has conflicting serving sizes. Under nutrition is lists a serving as 1/3 of a cup. However under instructions it says 1 cup of mix is 4 servings so that's 1/4 cup for a serving. The picture instructions show one apple being cut up. So each person will get 1/4 of an apple, that's not muchPreparation Cut up one apple and mixed up 1/2 a cup of the mix with 1/2 the butter indicated. It took a bit to mix and get the butter incorporated. Wonder if melted butter would work? Baked it up and you can see the results in the picture. Results Since it's one apple, this could be two servings or one larger one. Ratio of apple to topping was perfect The big downside is in the picture you can see brown dots. These are dried apple pieces that are in the mix. Why would you add dried apple when it's to be served on top of a fresh apple. The dried apple was dry, chewy and pretty flavorless. Being dry it stuck to my teeth. As far as flavor it's mild, some cinnamon but not much and maybe some other spices but nothing overpowering. If not for the discrepancy in the serving size and the dried apple they put in this would be a home run.
