Wasn't sure it would work out, but I'm in love. Chopped Lettuce and tomatoes for salad and it was so simple and clean. Hatd boiled eggs cut in seconds.

I have often thought it would be so convenient to have something like this to save some time when doing prep work.First time using this device, I was dicing up some onions for a recipe which would normally take me maybe 5-6 minutes for a few onions diced. With this I obviously still needed to remove the ends of the onions with a knife and peel the outer skin and then split them in half. I loaded them in the chopper and with a bit more force than felt natural I was able to get the onions diced up nicely. So, now my prep time was down to under 2 minutes which seemed great. Then came time for the cleanup, the normal cleanup would have been the cutting board and the knife but using this chopper I had those items and the chopper and the blade and the box it all gets pushed into. The box and the mechanism were no big deal, couple of seconds with good hot soapy water and they were done. The blade on the other hand was extremely difficult to get clean, tried washing normally, tried spraying, tried soaking, almost tried the pressure washer from the garage. Nothing could dislodge the bits of onion stuck where the blades crossed each other. Eventually I need to take a small knife and dig out bits of onion from between many of the blade crossing areas. In the end my prep time of 5-6 minutes was taken to around 15 minutes, not a time saver in the least.
