Very pleased with this purchase. Cannot tell from the face that this is a fully functional security camera. The included rechargeable battery acts as a backup for the camera for hours if power is interrupted. Automatic IR mode works very well (Good Picture) in the dark. Wide angle covers the entire room. Inserted my 128mb (or less) micro USB for timestamped recording with auto-overwrite in either continuous mode or just recording of motion events. Placing it on a shelf, I tilted the clock forward to counteract its upward tilt, as it was designed for placement on a night table. You can adjust its display brightness or turn off the display altogether. Comes with black labels to cover the camera lens for privacy or the USB slot on the side for security purposes. I strongly suggest not using the QR code installation process. Instead, use the WIFI-mode on the Tuya Reset Device screen to connect your camera to your network (not QR code mode) then select AP mode (vs. EZ mode) on the next Tuya screen. Finally, connect to the Smartlife network on the next screen and go back to the Tuya app to finalize the connection. Also, do not ever hold the physical Mode button on top of the clock to avoid disconnecting the camera from your network altogether. This does not appear to be Alexa compatible. Instant access to room display. It comes with an extra display screen (clearer but makes camera device more visible) and claims free gift on registration of extended warranty.

My roommates always takes stuff from my room and I was sick and tired of it. Every time I confronted them, they would deny taking something from my room. I needed to catch them in the act so I looked up spy cameras and saw this. It's super stealth. Unless you had it in your hand, you would never guess this was a hidden camera. I was very impressed with the video quality. It was very easy to setup and uses Tuya app, which I already use anyway. After I set everything up, I just let it do its thing. I caught my roommate going through my stuff and showed him the footage. He was quite embarrassed. He still doesn't know where the camera is. Needless to say, no one has taken anything out of my room since he was caught. I love this thing and recommend it to anyone who has problems with people stealing from them.

Spent a good 45 minutes trying to connect the device to the app. Did everything that the video did but the device would not read the QR code no matter what I did.

Want to keep your apartment safe from uninvited maintenance men, landlords, etc? Get yourself one of these things. I plug it in anytime I’m away and boy it really does look phenomenal. No one suspects a thing. Gives me some peace of mind when I’m away from home that I can check in at any time. It’s also fantastic for watching pets when you’re out of the house!

I saw this product and it looks very nice. I didn't know how effective it would be. To my surprise, it was great. The instructions were a little hard to decipher, but after a little experimentation I got it to work well. I haven't tested the infrared yet, but the rest of the options are great. The picture quality is as expected with an item like this. The camera is very sensitive when setting the motion sensor. I would recommend this product to any friend

The quality of this 2K resolution spy camera is superb and the price is unbeatable. The camera features 140 wide-angle lenses, 2K/25fps capture moments, and the tuya Smart app, which you can find here. The daytime images are super sharp and the night vision is excellent. Playback from the SD card works flawlessly.There is a film on the face of the clock, at first, I thought it was scratched, but I looked closer and tore it off by hand and everything was perfect.Accessing the camera from outside my house via cell phone or remote wifi is also flawless. You can also set the time format to 12 hours or 24 hours.Most importantly this camera has a great motion detection feature and I am amazed at how well it does it. I have already recommended this 2k spy cam to my family and friends and I will definitely buy another one for my office.

I like that while it is a hidden camera it also functions as a working clock and alarm. The device comes with a micro USB charging cord or you can use it with the included battery and there’s also a switch on the side which turns the camera feature on/off without disabling the clock.You control the camera functions thru the use of an app and with this it enables the use of many different settings. However my favorite is the option to select “humans only” recording which enables a smart feature that can detect the difference between a person or say a dog or cat, that way if you are away at work you don’t get multiple motion notifications sent to your phone every time your pet walks by the camera. Also very useful is the ability to set up a custom schedule so that you only receive motion alerts while you’re away at work and you don’t have to manually turn this feature on/off daily.One thing to take in to consideration is that the camera does slightly face upwards due to the fact that the clock face is slanted back for easy viewing of the clock.
