First time I mixed a scoop of collagen with water, a bunch of black hard flakes settled to the bottom of my glass. Not sure what they are, but it’s apparent that this company’s manufacturing process needs improvement.Worst part is that this product is not eligible for returns. Threw it right in the trash. What a waste!

Summary - this is a top quality collagen supplement that has two unique features: added collagen dipeptides and a complementary supplement of elastin capsules. The collagen tastes less "earthy" than others, and it mixes well because of how fine a powder it is --- however that fine powder tends to become airborne in little clouds when you scoop or pour it.Collagen in general is a must-have supplement for anyone with connective tissue injuries or signs of aging. I've had great results with taking collagen daily on an empty stomach, and everyone I know who's tried it feels that it helps with their connective-tissue injuries.Different tiers of collagen are emerging, with different features and price ranges. I've had good luck with cheap collagen but if there's a more effective form it might be worth the extra price. Mixed-type collagen was the premium form for a while, but personally I haven't noticed a difference with that. That may be because I only need to support connective tissues, so only the Type I+III proteins mattered.Body kitchen is the first (that I've seen) to re- fortify the collagen powder with key peptides that target the tissue building that we want, because hydrolysis has broken the protein down mostly to aminos that are used in a very general way by the body. This should make it more effective, but I haven't seen specific research about this (including on the listing and Body Kitchen's website).The other interesting part of this is the separate elastin supplement. Body Kitchen hasn't explained why this isn't simply included in the collagen powder (they do make such a product) but it could be that the elastin is better taken separately, on an empty stomach, in the hopes that it is used to specifically grow elastin and not make protein in general. Elastin gives the "elastic" property of tissues, versus collagen which gives strength. Both are needed for connective tissues to absorb heavy loads without tearing, or for skin to rebound after stretching, or other properties of tissues that are desirable.

I bought this comb, which was like buy one product get one free. I add collagen powder to my morning shakes. It did not change the flavor of my shakes. I took the supplements with other vitamins. I did so on an empty stomach, and it did not make me sick. I have not noticed a significant change in my skin. I think I need to use it longer.

Upon taking this , I saw no significant difference in my skin. The price is too much for what it offers. I tried the powder and capsules.

I could not return this item after return window and just opened it two weeks ago and stored as instructed in dry cool place and see black specks which I suspect is mold!?Expiration date is good but cancelled subscription.
