Chris York’s Set the standard is one of the best leadership books in health care . With his vast experience in health care leadership he clearly tells the story in a picturesque way. As a physician in leadership roles,I really enjoyed this book while reading.This book is inspiring, informative for healthcare leaders.The way he summarizes the leadership lesson in eighteen chapters is great.Some of my favorite lines in this book1.Leadership requires Vision and Imagination.Blocking our rate limiting environmental factors can be challenging,but it is requisite to realize your potential.2.All it takes is a focus on loving your neighbor as yourself. It really is that simple.3.Several good things happen when you flip that mental model.4.Self doubt can be a mental cancer, but you can typically crush self doubt by taking a moment to pause and reflect on the journey that brought you to your current state while becoming invigorated about the future.I highly recommend this book to all the people that works in healthcare.
