A great deal at a small price…
Reviewing the Zealot S-57...This medium size speaker is loaded with features. My favorite ones are:- Many inputs, besides Bluetooth: aux in, USB, TF card, microphone, etc.- Great sound with kick ass bass. Considering the cost and the size,I believe this is the best bass I’ve heard so far on a portable speaker. The big passive radiator on the back of the unit probably has a lot to do with this. If I put the unit near a wall, the bass will be even stronger because of the bouncing effect on the wall.- carrying handle is quite useful. Big rubber feet at the bottom.Also…- Long lasting battery, which can also recharge my cell. phone. However, there is no indicator for the battery charge on the unit (the only way to know the battery status is by watching my cell. phone screen when I do the Bluetooth connection.- Two units can be paired, to get a great stereo experience.- The microphone input allows me to talk through the unit and also sing Karaoke.- Synchro lights are not fantastic – they don’t really sync with the music. It’s just an added feature – but they can be nice and pleasant.- It’s advertised as having 80 watts of power. I disagree with this number…2 x 25w. woofers plus 2 x 15w. tweeters do not add up to 80 watts of power, to me.The numbers sure add up to 80, but not the sound. Go figure.Still… even if it spits out only 20 w. (let’s say), that sound is awesome, without any distortion and plenty enough to give me an earful. No complaint at all about the sound loudness. It’s more than enough.Still… In spite of these minor critics and considering the cost and the size / what I get for my bucks, this is a great deal. 5 Stars, for sure.I have not tried all the possible connections yet- maybe one day - but so far so good.Needless to say: I would definitely recommend this product.Customer service is also excellent. Merchant will stand behind his product.

Excellent value, powerful speaker!
The Zealot S57 is a great all-round speaker, well-designed for outdoor use, and an overall GREAT value for for sub-$90 price point. I've even seen it on sale for close to $70, making it an amazing value for an 80W speaker that produces volume and clarity to rival a professional PA system.I've used this speaker while working noisy yardwork jobs, inside my home, at my pool, and even with a microphone attached to make announcements at a block party over the sound of generators and bounce-house fans!Overall, I think it's great -- attractive, convenient, and easy to use. The sound rage isn't as rich as some other speakers on the market, but at this price point, I think it's a really solid choice and fully recommend it. Here are some specifics-Pros:- The S57 is a sturdy but lightweight construction, solid thick plastics, with a smooth finish and overall attractive design.- The waterproofing is great, and I have had no issues in rain or near the pool.- Sound volume is EXCELLENT, super powerful!- Lots of easy to access features in the connection panel, which is safely concealed with a rubber gasket that is easy to remove and replace.- The light show is really pleasing to look at and nice and bright.- Audio cues are very intuitive -- even if you can't see the lights come on, the turning on and turning off tones are very obvious.- VERY long battery life! I had it in on an used for nearly four hours as a PA.Cons:- For the size, it would've been nice to have a shoulder strap to help carry to the beach, pool, etc. when my hands are full. It's a little big to tuck in a bag, even though it's not heavy.- The bass isn't as full and deep as a more expensive speaker, so it's not quite as rich of a sound profile for bass-heavy music.- I have other Bluetooth speakers with "stereo mode" but they don't seem to work between models or brands, and the S57 is no different in that regard.- With the growing use of USB-C, it would've been cool if the charging part doubled as an output for charging. But the USB 2.0 port was nice for that.

A Tough Unit. Good Balance of Practicality. Well Worth It
First and foremost when buying things price point has to be a factor. The zealot checks all (my) boxes. It sounds great although no adjustable EQ its balanced good for all types of music. The sub on the back adds the perfect balance of sound even a deep bass to it. Kind of impressed the quality of the sound overall. Battery life is as expected from a unit using this amount of power at high volume and or charging your phone at the same time (Has TF card slot, USB port, USB 5v, Aux jack, Microphone jack, and C type charging port) At a more relaxing volume should go most of the day. With the rubber plug for the ports in place its as water proof as you should need. Seems to float pretty good in saltwater to retrieve it, if it falls in. Its sealed (waterproof) so it should stay buoyant. Its fallen in a few times always been fine I rinse with freshwater when possible. It can connect to a second unit for added sound. I'd recommend buying the 2nd unit, although their connectivity is weak (closer is better with no obstructions they can be further apart) Maybe less so, out doors and depending on other interferences. Simple to use, with enough controls on it to get you by (vol up / down doubles usage to skip tracks). In addition, one thing I could add about the zealot that it not advertised, is the fact that it is durable! Its based at a comfortable price you could easily forget about it. That happened to me a couple times out on the WaveRunner it was in the storage compartment next to a 7' castnet in a 3 gal bucket, and some other stuff. We encountered quite a bit of wave jumping and everything got repetitively slammed. The plastic bucket the castnet was in cracked into a few pieces, so I could tell things got shaken up a bit. The zealot only got scratched and lightly gouged in the plastic housing. Everything still works. Although it would be not recommended to improperly store it, things happen. The front speaker cover is thin metal and does a good job of protecting the speakers. It sustained light denting but held up. The sub is just all hanging out in the back (no cover) but is recessed enough to keep it protected and I can say its made durable. Although if I remember, next time I might wrap it in a towel or something. So considering something with enough watts, and battery power to last, that's waterproof, and untimely sounds good, you would not think this thing is a tough as it is. I'd challenge someone with a similar unit they think is "better" (probably cost $300+) and put it through a similar fun day on the water and see how it holds up.
