I use it to keep my beverages (coffee, hot water) warm. Works great.One caveat. As a test, I tried filling the thermos to the brim with water. When I screwed on the cap, I found I was unable to depress the plunger lever. On reflection, I surmised this was probably due to there being no air gap remaining inside the thermos. Water is incompressible, so when I tried to press the plunger switch, I was actually trying, unsuccessfully, to compress water. This is not a fault of the design -- it's just physics. Just remember to leave a little air gap when filling the thermos and you should be fine. And even if you overfill it, like I did in my test, it's a simple matter to unscrew the cap and pour a little bit of the liquid out, to create a small air gap.It seems to keep hot beverages hot for hours, definitely long enough for my needs.Aesthetically, it looks great. And the design of the plunger lever is such that it's easy to tell when you've screwed it on sufficiently well.Very happy with it!

Ich habe direkt zwei Isolierkannen bestellt, weil ich mich nicht für eine Farbe entscheiden konnte.Die nahezu durchweg sehr positiven Resis, die Beschaffenheit, die Optik sowie der Preis im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Produkten waren dann dafür ausschlaggebend, direkt beide Varianten (schwarz und braun) in den Einkaufswagen zu legen.Amazon-Typisch wurde, wie soll es anders sein, schnell und sauber verpackt geliefert.Erster Eindruck beim auspacken.Überraschend gute Verarbeitung und Haptik. 
Eine große Öffnung in der auch ganz bequem ein Teesieb Platz findet.Ein Kaffeefilter fürs händische aufbrühen, sollte ebenso problemlos passen und stabil aufliegen.Und sie hält über mehrere Stunden die Temperatur.Alles andere wird die Zeit zeigen.Ich werde beide Isolierkannen behalten. Eine für zu Hause die andere kommt mit ins Büro.Ein Tipp noch. 
Zu der Serie gibt es passend einen sehr schönen Thermobecher.Wer im Büro viel mit der Tasse in der Hand unterwegs ist, und dabei Tropfspuren hinterläßt, sollte sich den Trinkbecher mal anschauen und wie ich ggf. direkt ohne langes Zögern mit in den Einkaufswagen legen.
 Es lohnt sich.Im übrigen auch ein schönes Geschenk als Set.

This thermal coffee/tea pot is great, it keeps the beverage hot for hours, looks great, and is a welcome addition to my kitchen.Some users have complained about the lid not working properly. That is actually a result of the design and purpose of a thermal carafe.When it is filled with a hot liquid, it causes steam and expansion, that actually produces pressure against the lid making it very difficult to open, difficult enough to break the lever if you force it, ALL you have to do is to pour out a little, or even your first cup and it will open as designed, there is a tiny amount of dribble when you release the lever but that is only the remaining beverage on the spout, it isn’t leaking.Use the thermos, use your brain, be happy!

It's convenient. But it doesn't keep the coffee as hot as long as they say it does. But it's worth keeping. Price is to high for their claims of keeping it hot as long as they claim. But I love the container and can carry it to our work area. Thank you. Would I buy this brand again. No. Have a blessed day.
