Really good, who is the bad guy
Enjoyed it, was not sure who was good or bad. I loved both leads, wish there were more like this. I really could not figure the ending out and I felt the pain of lost when his son passed. I felt loss, anger, helplessness for both characters.

is there supposed to be an underlying message?
It felt like the show was pushing a message about socio-economic class disparity. If so, I'm not sure exactly what the message was.

Trauma-Chicago Fire Lite
Trauma is another series featuring Taylor Kinney. His acting is wonderful but the lines they gave him in this series were not. This show is like Chicago Fire Lite. Trauma was good but Chicago Fire came up afterwards with better characters and ideas and dialogue and blew us all away. I would still recommend this to anyone who has not seen it though. Buy this and see what you think. Lots of action!!!!

Great Series, Cut Short
I loved this short-lived series; it was an action-packed medical drama with heart. Unfortunately, it was treated poorly by its network (4-month hiatus without notice of returning, bad marketing, etc.) and suffered from it. Unlike most procedurals, they were able to have a story (or a few) each episode involving a medical emergency while making sure the main characters remained the focus of the show. While I think this is definitely worth it, any newcomers should know that the unofficial series final ends on a pretty surprising cliffhanger. As for special features, this set is severely lacking any aside from audio commentary on the pilot episode. It would have been nice to have a gag reel and possibly something to let fans know what would have happened had the show continued.

Gone, but not forgotten
As a fan of "Emergency", the 70s paramedic show that was the spiritual ancestor of "Trauma", I tuned in looking for drama and action, and I found it! This fast-paced saga of first-responders was poorly placed on NBC's schedule, between the last season of "Heroes" and Jay Leno's failed talk show. It was further sabotaged by being placed on hiatus during the Winter Olympics, so it never got the chance to build the viewership it deserved. Not only did "Trauma" give us life-and-death situations for the crews of EMTs and their patients, the characters were well-drawn and the cast had terrific chemistry with each other. It's a shame the show didn't go on to many more seasons, but you can still enjoy what there is of it on DVD.

One Of The Best Series Of 2010
I am one of those who loves those medical dramas, from the 1970's show Emergency to Trauma. I have also found lately Chicago Fire on my list of one of the best dramas on T.V. today. The reason why I loved this series so much is it is action packed from the beginning to the end. I am disappointed it only lasted for one year, it was a great series that deserved more. Anymore some networks don't know when they have a good thing so the let it go, big mistake. I recommend this series to anyone who loves medical dramas and for those careers lie within that category you wont be disappointed.THX,Kris L. CocKayne

Great show! I wish there were more seasons
Great show! I wish there were more seasons. Loved the charactors. Lots of fast-paced action & not too horrific & gory scenes. It's hard to find shows that do not rely on blood, guts, gore, cursing & sex. This had just enough reality with good story lines & relationships between actors that made it great. The one negative comment about the disc set up is the menu. You have to watch or fast forward through the deleted scenes to advance to the 3rd & 4th episodes. Only the 1st two show up on the menu. Strange! It took me awhile to figure that out.

Tense gritty drama.
I picked up 'Trauma' on the strength of other recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed this box set. I've been looking for a substitute to fill the void after watching the likes of ER, Third Watch and Chicago Fire. This box set was good value and provides a good number of viewing hours.Set against the background of an emergency service provided in San Francisco 'Trauma' delivered a strong cast who battled to save lives from death and injury. Some of the scenes were amazing and realistic that you were engrossed from start to finish episode by episode.Extremely sorry to see that the programme was canceled after only one season and if anyone enjoys watching the likes of ER, Third Watch, Chicago Fire etc then Trauma is a good addition to any collection with its quality and gritty script.

yet another 'axed' series - shame
A great watch - especially at price...such a shame they didn't carry onto a second season - we were quite attached to the characters and wanted to know the outcome of the cliff hanger...oh well!

We only managed the 1st episode, could'nt stand anymore.
Typical American storyline with the main characters talking in rubbishy language!Straight to the charity shop!
