A L'Ombre des Mots by Trio Joubran (2010-02-09)

This is really great and incredibly moving CD (and you don't have to speak Arabic to appreciate it.) Trio Joubran are exceptional musicians, and to hear their music combined with the voice of the late Mahmoud Darwich reading his poetry is an amazing experience.

This is a poignant hommage to Mahmoud Darvish and shows the excelence of the Joubran brothers.Profoundly touching, sorrow, harmony and hope mesh beautifully. A l'ombre des mots pushed me to discover Mr. Darwish works.If only for that I'm gratefull to the Trio Joubran. For all those who want beautifull music and wish for peace and humanity.

Fantastic music and musicians and the voice of Darwish - unbelievably moving and beautiful. Personally I find the last few minutes quite harrowing, not perhaps the main thing you are seeking when buying a CD - but buy it, nonetheless!

Man muß selbstverständlich die arabisch angehauchte Musik von Trio Joubran mögen. Für diese Gruppe ist diese CD jedoch eine gute Wahl um in den Musikstil einzutauchen.

superbe alliance entre musique et poésie

I have been getting into more acoustic types of music of late, and oud music & player videos over the last two years. I always enjoy listening to LTJ and I really like the video. I like seeing musicians playing, so I can do some study on their playing or techniques. "Next best thing to being there" as the telephone company used to say, and better in some respects: I can reverse numerous times to see each little nuance or scale played.

Also, wenn man den Styl mag, ist eine Tolle CDIst auf Arabisch der Text. Wenn man Poetisch veranlagt und die Sprach kann.. Dann ist es Empfehlenswert
