Q: Can you use the press in an oven?

I would 'NOT' because of the wood handle. The press is very solid stainless steel and would do in the oven - BUT NOT WITH WOOD HANDLE. Now if one would remove the wood or might cover it with foil then one might be able to use it also in the oven . However as it is sold and used with wood handle the oven might not be the best place to use this style of press. Look for a press that is ALL stainless steel/handle &press. I have one like that also from Amazon it is lighter weight but all solid stainless steel and no seams to hold any food. Remember to wear a Hand mit to protect from the HOT press when you handle it from the oven. hope this was a help. It is a great product.

Yes it will fit - and for me works very well. This press is great and will ' hand wash ' well. Hope you enjoy it for many years .
