Game changer
As a physical therapist who mostly sees people with neck issues (concussion/headache specialty), this tool is my absolute favorite for accuracy. When I started using the Halo, I was surprised at how inaccurate my "eyeballing" was for AROM. That was really skewing results at re-evals. And, using a standard goni for C/S rotation especially stinks as I need to stand on a stool or the table- not convenient/good. The Halo is also great for tricky reads like the shoulder, thoracic/lumbar spine, and ankle. I guess you can measure any joint with this though I still use my standard goni for some things. There's a bit of a learning curve but it's totally worth it, especially for reimbursement. This is my second purchase of this product. It has come down a lot in price though the quality remains high. If I lost them both tomorrow, I'd replace them ASAP. Now Halo, how about dynamometers for MMT???

Fantastic clinical tool
This is a wonderful tool for assessing joint range of motion in a precise manner without having to use somewhat clumsy traditional goniometers. I work in high performance in professional sport in the US and this is a staple for preseason and ongoing joint assessment. When used with the velcro straps that you can purchase to affix it to the body part, it is super easy. Only reason it is not a 5 star review is that in my work environment, the precision of the device seems to be thrown off if I am assessing on a plinth with a lot of metal on it or too close to significant electric modalities such as ultrasound machines or laser. Other than that, great product.

Worth the investment.
I recently purchased the Halo and it has become an indispensable tool in my clinical practice. This device is incredibly accurate and easy to use, making it a must-have for anyone who needs to measure joint range.I like the large screen and numbers - Useful, as I found the small numbers on my old goniometer sometimes hard to read. I also appreciate the compact size of the goniometer, which makes it easy to take with me when seeing patients in the field.Overall, I am extremely impressed with the quality and functionality of the Halo Digital Goniometer and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a Physical Therapist.

Works great ... until it doesn't!
When I initially received the device, it seemed to work as expected, but a couple days later I went to use it, and it no longer gave correct measurements. Even with the device laying still and untouched on a wooden table, it would give multiple wildly fluctuation measurements. I tried troubleshooting this, but the process depends on contacting their customer support, and they still have not yet replied to any of my e-mails. Since the device is useless without the ability to measure anything, I returned it for a refund.I decided not to replace it with a new unit for a few reasons:(1) Customer support seems to be lacking. It might be that there is a simple solution to the issue that I am having, but they never responded to me. I was unable to use the device in the clinic and my demonstration of the device to our physical therapy department did not go well, due to the wildly inaccurate numbers displayed. They were not impressed, and we won't be purchasing these for our various physical therapy clinic locations.(2) The instruction manual was not helpful in providing any troubleshooting. In fact, the device did not seem to respond in the way that the the manual described, regarding Reset, etc. Overall, the Instruction manual is highly repetitive, but somehow not well written. Once I knew how to operate the device, I could understand the Manual; however, ideally you should be able to read the manual to learn how to use the device.(3) The controls are difficult to operate. You must know exactly what you are doing in terms of key presses to operate the machine, this is complicated by the fact that there are three switches all located very close together under a single piece of plastic. Using the unit is not intuitive. When I was demonstrating the unit, two physical therapists both immediately put the unit into Menu Selection Mode instead of activating the unit for use.(4) Durability. The build quality is what I would describe as "off brand cell phone quality level" -- it works and it would probably be fine when used with care. I already deal with precision instruments, such as my Von Frey tactile measurement set etc., so that is something I am used to; however, this is not the industrial build quality you would need for durable day to day use in a busy Physical Therapy clinic.(5) There is no fail-safe. Although my unit was malfunctioning and giving inaccurate measurements, it continued to display numbers. To avoid inaccurate measurements being used/recorded, the unit should default to a non-measuring mode when a significant malfunction occurs.SUMMARY: Overall, the HALO is a great device. The concept of a goniometer able to provide accurate digital measurements in three dimensions is absolutely wonderful. However, it has a few issues. It is best used in a single practitioner office or research setting and may not be durable enough for daily use in a busy clinic. It requires familiarity with the control switches and precise use, to avoid problems that can delay or prevent your ability to take measurements.I consider it to be worth the price - as long as it works. My unit stopped working and gave invalid measurements. Given the lack of response from Customer Service at Halo and the other issues that I noted regarding build quality, etc., I decided it wasn't worth the hassle, and I have returned my unit for a refund.

Extremely accurate
This digital goniometer is absolutely amazing! It provides incredibly precise measurements that are consistently reliable and dependable. This makes it a great tool for physical therapists who need to track their patients' progress and adjust their treatment plans. I strongly recommend this digital goniometer to anyone who needs a reliable and versatile tool for measuring body movements.
