Elizaveta Porodina: Un/Masked

A beautiful compilation of Elizaveta Porodina's most recent work for various couture houses and publications, as well as a few personal photos.If you discovered Porodina via Instagram like me, you're in for a treat. The tiny format of IG does about zero justice to these works of art. The large book format is incredibly satisfying - the richness of the colors envelop you, more textural nuance comes through, and you can read the complex emotions on the models' faces. Turns out the photos (even the Zoom photos, somehow!) are even more psychologically interesting in this large book format. There were a few photos I wasn't in love with on the Amazon listing for the book, but when you actually open the book to the page of the same photo, a radically different, softer, more interesting image comes through. Even my attached photos don't fully capture it.Porodina delivers (as always) with her refined sense of composition/proportion, understanding of the emotions in color, and drama/magic. I absolutely love it, and am sad to gift it.The cover and binding of the book also satisfy the senses, even OCD ones.I'm certain someday this book will be a classic. I'd love for her to put out more books, including of her earlier work (sadly now deleted from the IG), and of her more casual/experimental personal IG account.

The book consists really amazing images and high end work of a really inspiring author. Great quality and colors!
