I use this in my RV. When not connected to power my 120V comes from an inverter. Some stuff I always want on, but Tv stuff - television, sat box and antenna, Apple TV - consumes a lot of power just in standby. This gives me a way to turn all that stuff off with one click without getting into the electronics compartment.

Many uses around the house, but I use mine mainly for having a remote and extra plugs for the lights on the Christmas Tree.

We have to get within two feet of the unit for the remote control to work. We have other remotes through out the house that work at a more reasonable distance, so we know it can be done.

I use this to turn on and off my bank of two computer printers (that are located in a different room). It works every time and is a step saver as well as a power saver allowing my laser printers to be off until needed. I move the handy on-off fob from one side of my computer desk to the other to remind me that the printers are on or off (right side off , left side on). Set up was quick and easy; the "keyhole" mount slots allowed it to be mounted directly to my wooden printer shelf structure.
