Previous story: we used to buy a new knife, as the blades are losing sharpness after a while. In kitchen, we use local knife with very thin thickness. Got a few Victorinox knives as well. Infact, used to buy vinox every 6 months for past 2 years as it is losing sharpness. Recent bought crystal, manufatured in Gujarat, which is extremely good, better than inox family...all through Amazon.So, obviously knives used to pile up, bought many conventional sharpners, but of no use practically.So, while planning to buy Tojiro knife, i saw this in amazon and ordered this. Ordered another non electric also to try luck. Received bot today. Let me share the experince.This electric got 2 pair of rotating sharpners, with normal and fine coarseness. We just need to move the knife in these grooves,and its rotating blades does the job. This takes only around a few strokes or 1 minute to sharpen. If you grind it 3 minutes straight, you'll find yourself left with only knives handle, as it grids away the metal piece quickly.About device, it come with an instruction manual. It got 4 grooves. Or 2 pair of grooves. First pair, is for general sharpening, second for fine tuning. But I strongly suggest a third conventional sharpner as a 3rd step for fine sharpening aa in this electric sharpner, the sharpness depends on the pressure you applied and it should be even. You need to put only a slight press towards the rotating blade. If the pressure is more, it can grind away the edge. In each groove, you need to move the knife applying a light pressure, moving a single stroke towards your body, making a contact of knife to the rotating blade aa seen in image.Product is heavy, sturdy, wires are also thick and is of required quality.Sharpened around 10 knives in 15 minutes including the victorinoxes. Serrated knifes must not be used. Only knives with plane edge should be used. NO to scissors and ceramic knives too.As seen in one image, marked by red arrow, after a few strokes, the width local knife itself got reduced. So, this is not a sharpner, but it grinds away the metal piece producing a new edge itself if used for a minute.As in an image with two edges, a locsl knife with broken edges regained the flat edge after a minute of sharpening.There is a magnetic place below where it collects all the iron dust particles which got shaven away from knife.In one of the image, you can see the rotating blade inside device. You basically needs to make full stroke movement applying a little even pressure touching knife woth that rotating blade...Handle with care..

Very easy to use and an absolute labor saver

Definitely it is a good addition to the kitchen. It sharpens the knife as expected. The product looks well made and it is actually well made too. Sharpening the kitchen knifes are made easy with this device.

The sharpener did a good job on my chef and fillet knives. Yet, the description page and the box claims that it can sharpen serated knives which is a complete no-no in the manual.Unfortunately this was the main reason for my decision to weigh in for Suprhome. Hence the rating.Full marks for fine-edge blades

The motor s too weak and slow and the sharpening discs are made of soft material, the discs stop rotating at the slightest pressure and also do not ever reach a sufficient speed required to sharpen. At 2500 rs this is a rip off. Refrain from buying please

Not good enough. Does not sharpen properly. Waste of money
