Absolutely amazing
This series is captivating and I am anxiously waiting for book 4 to come out. Book one doesn't have spice but it gets spicier as the series goes on. There is complex world building and strong characters. I highly recommend for those who are looking for a fantasy romance.

A start to a series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next one. I love the characters, they're well thought out and have some depth to them. The story is great, well-developed and engaging. Definitely a story that shows a young woman coming into her own while struggling to keep those she loves happy but out of harms way. I only give it four stars because it ends abruptly and there are still a ton of unanswered questions. But I guess that means you have to read the rest of the series to get answers. if I could give it four and a half stars I would.

Good Story Line
The world building is nicely done, giving a clear picture of the divide between pure fae, halflings, and humans. My first thought on the FMC, Fallon, was: she knows what path she wants to walk and is empathetic to the life of animals and those around her.Reading further into the book, she got annoying. Her naivety or refusal to see the truth when it comes to Dante was irky. She seemed to continuously make excuses for him rather than take the truth for what it is. Fallon also was a bit slow to pick up on clues that laid important information right out in front of her, which was irritating because how can the lead be so fickle? Hopefully, she comes into her own as she finds out more about herself. The side characters, Antoni, Sybille, and Phoebus, were interesting from the little bit of appearances they had. I hope they get more time in the following books.Morrgot (Lore) and Fallon have a connection that I believe is more than what she realizes it is. I am intrigued as to how she will respond when she finally figures it out and how they will do as a couple.Overall, the book was drawn out, but the storyline is very interesting, and I look forward to the adventures in the following and next book.

the plot is good, the fantasy of it all is fun
What is keeping me going with this series is the plot and fantasy elements. I want to keep learning more about the Crows. The magic system and history of them is super interesting. Hope we learn more about the other kingdoms too in further books.Lore is an interesting character. There’s definitely a lot we still don’t know and I have a feeling there are people we are supposed to trust that we shouldn’t. I can’t wait to learn more about him and his people though!Dante is… ugh MAJOR EYE ROLL the whole book. How Fallon was blind to him is beyond me. I could tell right away he was just a dirtbag. But I get it, first loves die hard. That leads me to Fallon. I almost DNF’d this book multiple times because of her. One thing I do not personally like is when authors do the whole accidentally think out loud thing. Fallon does this a lot. Just have it part of the dialogue for crying out loud. Instead it just makes for awkward unnecessary moments. Also she’s supposed to be 22 but i felt like i was reading more like a teenager in this entire book. The way she was such a lovesick puppy over Dante got old SO fast. Even when she grew a backbone and he showed his true colors she maintain loyalty to this dude.. like what? Her naivety was off the charts. And this girl has zero critical thinking skills. The amount of times I called her an idiot is too many. So many things were laid out for her.. dots just ready to be connected.. and she’s putting square pegs in round holes. I PRAY that she grows a real backbone in book 2, that she gains some common sense and critically thinks, and stops blindly giving her loyalty to that douche canoe Dante.

5 Stars!
I will be the first to say that the FMC in this drove me crazy, but after reading this book and the other two… wow. Her development is incredible. There have been so many popular series that I’ve had to force myself to finish because the authors voice, writing style, or main characters grated my nerves. But this? This isn’t one of them. I highly highly recommend this series to literally anyone who loves the fated mates, found family, and slow burn tropes. Olivia does all of those and does them impeccably.

Superb Fantasy!
I loved House of Beating Wings! This book was compared to the works of Sarah J. Maas and usually I take recommendations like this with a grain of salt, but I have to say that it is similar in vein to Maas’ books, and if you like her work, I think you will like Olivia Wildenstein’s “House of Beating Wings”. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone in this book; fantasy, world-building, interesting characters, adventure, romance, fae, and of course, crows. The ending was thrilling and exciting, and there were a lot of twists and turns in the plot. I was truly sad when the book ended. This book can be read as a stand-alone but I can’t wait for the the next book in Ms. Wildenstein’s series. Overall, this was a great read!

So big and so good.
I rarely read big books and if i read them it has to be good or it loses interest in four pages itself... But this one held my interest from start to end of the book. I was hooked on each word! It is a slow burn but that burn is good! Can't wait to start the next one!!

Authentisches Indie-Buch im Premiumformat
Ich bin in kürzester Zeit ein riesen Fan von Indie-Autoren geworden und The Kingdom of Crows Series stellt da keine Ausnahme dar.
